2015 drugstore favourites β€οΈ

Hello beautiful people! ❀️ If you saw my last post you will know all about my high end favourites of 2015, so today is the day to share with you my drugstore favourites from last year! Enjoy! 😘

L’oreal studio secrets primer. πŸ’•
This is my go to primer! I first started wearing this a few years ago and when it ran out I never repurchased it as I never deemed primer an essential! I would use Urban Decay’s eyeshadow primer a lot but never one for the face! It was only later on in 2015 when I noticed my make-up wasn’t staying on form throughout the day that I remembered what I was doing wrong, I was not wearing primer! I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a high end primer and I knew L’oreal had one that I had used before so I bought myself another one and I have never looked back! This is the softest, velvety primer ever, it feels so good! It comes in quite a small pot so you might think it will run out quite quickly, but mine always lasts me about 3 months which I think is a fair amount of time especially as I sometimes do my make-up twice a day, so that’s double the primer used! To save me purchasing a seperate eyeshadow primer I also started using the Studio Secrets to prime my eyelids and it really works! I have no creasing with my eyeshadow when I use this primer and my eye make-up lasts all day! This is the perfect primer and it really does the job of keeping my make-up on throughout the day, especially around my nose area, now my foundation doesn’t slip off! My sister recently purchased this primer for the first time and she loves it! A great quality product at an affordable price, I will definitely be using this primer for a long time to come!

L’oreal Feline Mascara. πŸ‘
I was so impressed with this mascara from the very first moment I tried it! It is super volumizing and gives a false lash effect. My favourite quality to this mascara is the curved brush which really lifts up the lashes and opens up the eyes. The curved brush also means I don’t have to use an eyelash curler, but it looks like I have! After just two coats of this mascara my eyelashes look longer and thicker and this has definitely become my favourite drugstore mascara. I also think this is a great dupe for the Benefit Rollerlash mascara, if you’re looking for something a little less pricey.

L’oreal nail polishes. πŸ’…πŸΌ
These are the best nail polishes I have come across in my life so far. The bottles are gorgeous and there’s a great variety of colours. My favourite combo is the burgundy shade ‘404’ with a gold glitter on top. They look stunning together! These nail polishes dry and harden within minutes which is something I’ve never experienced before with nail polishes, despite all the ‘fast dry’ claims some have made. For the first time, I can now paint my nails within half an hour of going out and know they will be looking fabulous and not smudge or chip when I go to leave! L’oreal also have a top coat which I use to ensure that my nails don’t chip throughout the week!

Barry M dazzle dust. β˜„
I used to use this ALL the time as a teenager and last year I rediscovered my love for dazzle dust, the pink shade being my favourite. This is just so easy to use to turn a standard make-up look into something extra beautiful. If you don’t want to spend time creating a smokey eye, this is the perfect solution as you can pop some glitter on and voila, you have a gorgeous eye look! Dazzle dust is also the way forward when correcting any mistakes, dodgy eyeliner? Pop some glitter on over the top and no one will ever know! I also like to use dazzle dust on my collar bones for an extra wow factor on a night out!

Tangle teasers! πŸ™†πŸ»
The tangle teaser just had to be included with my 2015 favourites, what a discovery. I first used one on holiday with the girls, I think it was Emily who lent me hers! My hair was just one giant, matted knot and the tangle teaser really sorted it out! My hair is very thick and get’s knotty really quickly so has always been a stress to comb, but since using a tangle teaser its never been easier and I actually look forward to brushing my hair. It glides through my hair so easily Β and now I feel like I can take care of my hair properly without having to worry about it not being brushed all the way through! If you have never used a tangle teaser before and find it a struggle to brush your hair I seriously suggest investing in one! You won’t regret it.

Lush Intergalactic bath bomb. 🌠
I wanted to include this bath bomb with my favourites as it’s just so stunning. This was by far my favourite bath bomb last year, I must of taken about 50 photo’s of my bath water each time I used it. I’m a big fan of bath bombs which change the colour of the water and this is the most beautiful one I have found. It creates so many pretty, magical colours when you first drop it in the water and then it settles into a deep blue with specks of silver glitter. Absolutely gorgeous.

So that’s it for my 2015 drugstore favourites! I hope you enjoyed this post and as always, thankyou so much for reading! Have you used any of these products? If so, what did you think of them?

Have a wonderful day! ❀️ lots of love, Jennie πŸ’‹ xxxxxxxxxxxx
