My 21st birthday πŸ’• Family fun πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘§

Hello gorgeous people πŸ’• One week after turning 21 and I am finally writing up my birthday blog post! I did intend to write this on Monday morning, however that clearly did not happen as I was slightly worse for wear after a brilliant night out with the girls! Still it was my 21st, so in all honesty I’d be pretty dissapointed if I hadn’t of woken up with a hangover! I’ve split this post into two parts as I do like a good old chinwag, so to keep you from having to read a 1000000000 word blog post I thought seperating it into two parts was the best idea.

I celebrated my 21st birthday on the 9th of January, the same day I celebrate all my other birthdays, obviously πŸ˜› I actually had to go into work on my birthday, in hindsight I wish I had booked the day off but I don’t mind too much as I love my job and my co-workers are lovely. My manager actually had no idea it was my birthday and I wouldn’t of bothered to tell her, but following one of our conversations she asked me for my date of birth, so I awkwardly had to tell her it was ‘today’. Her face was an absolute picture, she looked so baffled! It was so funny and I will never forget her reaction. She must of been so confused bless her, she kept asking me why I hadn’t told her it was my birthday but I’m just not the type to make a fuss! She then sang ‘happy birthday’ to me on the shop floor along with one of the other counter girls and my friend Alice, who I was having a chat with. So cute but so embarassing! Luckily I had a really good day at work and all my customers were lovely and we sold lots and lots. I must of had birthday luck ✨
After work I went home and saw my famalam, including my parents, sister and Nan. We filled each other in on our days and I opened my presents which were all wonderful πŸ’• I got lots and lots of thoughtful gifts and my family were so generous! I am a lucky girl πŸ’•β˜ΊοΈ I am going to film a ‘What I got for my birthday video’ so I’m not going to ramble on here about all my presents but I shall mention a few! I got a tripod from my parents which is amazing as now I can make videos again and actually be happy with what I have filmed! No more stacking up Sims expansion packs to rest my camera on, the struggle! I got lots of beautiful jewellery, including a stunning Swarovski bracelet from my sister! ZoΓ« (my sister) definitely gets major brownie points for that gift! The bracelet is gold and feautures two intertwined hearts, it’s very precious and is definitely to be worn on special occassions, I will not be wearing it on a night out as it’s far too delicate! It’s definitely one of the nicest bracelets I have ever owned and I am so thankful to my sister for buying me such a lovely gift. I was treated so well by my parents, Nan and sister, I’m so thankful πŸ’• The cuties also decorated the living room with balloons, bunting, pictures and banners and of course decorated the table which we always end up calling ‘the birthday table’! It’s such a loving and kind gesture from my family πŸ’•

After all the fun of opening presents, we put our make-up and dresses on (excluding my dad, he did not put any make-up on nor did he wear a dress)! We then went out for dinner to my favourite resteraunt ‘Voongs’ which serves Chinese food. Absolute HEAVEN! My favourite dish is chicken in breadcrumbs, and Voongs is the only place which cooks them the way I like. I am a very fussy eater! I did try a new dish this time, which was lemon chicken! I didn’t expect it to be a lemon sauce, but that’s what it was and I was not a fan unfortunately! Luckily I had ordered my chicken in breadcrumbs too, so I just squeezed some lemon juice onto the chicken and it was perfect, just how I like it! Chinese food is definitely my favourite, what’s your favourite Chinese dish?

After eating dinner the waiters bought out a cake which my mum had asked them to do, what a cutie! They dimmed the lights and then everyone started singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to me, so embarassing but I loved it really, even if I did hide behind my hands the whole way through! The cake was a personalised one, so it had a picture of me on it! I’ve always wanted a special cake with my picture on, that’s what turning 21 is for I suppose! It was so thoughtful of my parents to surprise me with a personalised cake and what was even sweeter was that they had placed a charm for my bracelet into the cake, I thought it was just decoration but no, it was a new charm! What a creative idea, so thoughtful! The charm is really beautiful, it’s a silver champagne glass with little crystals on it! Sooo pretty, I absolutely love it. I also got a New York taxi charm, it is really cool and I have been to New York before so it’s definitely perfect for me! I had a really lovely evening out with my family, chatting away and joking with each other! I adore spending time with my family and I always feel so much love for them! They all treated me so well and put so much effort into making my birthday special! I love my family πŸ’•πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘§

After dinner we came home and ZoΓ« fell asleep on the couch! What a party animal! πŸ˜‚ We were going to play charades before bedtime but we were all really sleepy so we just went to bed instead! 21 and sleeping before midnight, I’m definitely getting old!

I had a really lovely 21st birthday full of love and my family definitely made me feel special. I am truley blessed to have such a caring family πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘§πŸ’• I’m so excited for their birthdays so I can spoil them rotten and make them feel as loved as they made me feel! πŸ’•

Thankyou for reading this post, I am really grateful to everyone who clicks on my post and gives it a little read, so much love to you! Have a fantastic day today ✨ I’ll see you tomorrow for part 2 of this post!

Lots and lots of love, Jennie πŸ’• xxxxxxxxxxxxx
