All The Worlds A Stage

Growing up with a Musical Theatre loving sister and even attending a performing arts school myself, I’ve always had an interest in all things stage.

I love going to see theatre shows and I’m lucky enough to have seen a fair few in my lifetime, most recently I saw School Of Rock in the West End and it was amazing. I need to go see it again although I’m gutted that David Fynn is no longer playing Dewey, he was the perfect guy for the role. Like better than Jack Black even. But I wish him all the best with his future career, I’ve no doubt he’ll be amazing whatever he does.

As I love the theatre so much and there are an abundance of musicals and plays out there, today I’ve decided to compile a bucket list of the ones I would most like to see in the not so distant future.

Starting with The Lion King. How have I not seen this yet already? Everyone whose seen it says how amazing it is and as an avid Disney fan and owner of a giant Simba I think it’s time I got myself a ticket. Who’s coming with me?

Secondly I would just love to see Wicked in the West End because again it’s one of those shows that everyone loves and says how brilliant it is. My sister has seen Wicked three times and I’m sure she would love to go again, so I’d be over the moon if we went to see it together. I’ll have to treat us both to tickets at some point. As my sister loves Wicked so much I’ve heard some of the songs from the show and they are all beautiful and powerful, I’m gonna listen to a couple after I write this post actually because uh, they are just too good.

Mamma Mia is another must see musical. I’m actually currently watching the film version as I type, how feel good is this musical?? It’s currently on at my local theatre¬†but I wasn’t able to get tickets, fortunately though¬†it’s still showing at the West End so I’ll be able to see it there.

One musical which always¬†grabs my attention¬†when I see it advertised is Kinky Boots, it looks like such a fun show and with songs by Cyndi Lauper it’s bound to be a joy to watch. I must go and see this asap!!!

This time not a musical, The Mousetrap is a play I really want to see even though I actually have not the faintest idea what it’s about, although I believe it to be a mystery type of play? I just want to see it because I’ve heard many people talk about how good it is and I’ve heard there’s a twist at the end which really intrigues me. I need to know what that is…

What’s your favourite theatre show? Have you ever seen any on my list? What would you most like to see? Let me know in the comments below.

Get To Know Me

Hello everyone.

Today I thought it would be fun to do another tag, as I haven’t done one in a while. I’ve done the Get To Know Me¬†tag before but that was a long time ago (10 months to be precise) and a lot of you who follow me now didn’t follow me back then, plus these questions are new.

I found this tag on Root Report so full credit goes to them for the questions.

1. Are you named after anyone? – Nope, I am not. My parents chose the name Jennifer for me simply because they liked it.

2. When was the last time you cried? – I cry all the time, I’m a very emotional person and will cry at literally anything, for happy reasons, for sad reasons, for giggly reasons (I’m always crying of laughter). The last time I cried was on Saturday watching Britain’s Got Talent, it makes me so emotional seeing people live their dreams and find joy in their passions.

3. Do you have kids? – No I do not and I’m not in any rush to either.

4. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself? – Of course. I like to think I’m a good friend and¬†I aim to be better everyday.

5. Do you use sarcasm a lot? – Me? Sarcastic? Never.

6. What’s the first thing you notice about people? – Their appearance, how they carry themselves, if they’re friendly… I’m not 100% sure how to answer this one, it just depends on ones personality as to what I first notice about them.

7. What is your eye colour?Blue da ba dee…

8. Scary movie or happy endings? – Oh happy endings of course!!!

9. Favourite smells? – I love the smell of petrol, the smell of good food cooking, the smell of bacon in the morning, anything sweet, anything floral, Burberry Body Tender Eau de Toilette, fresh bread, coconuts… I could go on and on.

10. What’s the furthest you’ve ever been from home? – America!

11. Do you have any special talents? – None that I’ve discovered yet, ha ha.

12. Where were you born? – Chertsey, Surrey.

13. What are your hobbies? – Blogging, reading, socialising, shopping, learning, watching TV and films, travelling,¬†swimming… again, I could go on and on.

14. Do you have any pets? – I don’t and I never have. In the future I’d maybe like a dog and I’d love horses.

15. Do you have any siblings? – I do. A brother Lee, and two sisters Nicki and Zo√ę. I haven’t spoken to Nicki in almost two years. I get on well with my brother Lee and Zo√ę is one of my best friends, she brings my world so much joy.

16. What do you want to be when¬†you grow up? – Grow up? I am grown up!!! At least I like to think I am but I can’t even manage a simple task like washing up so maybe I’ve a little way to go… Mostly I’d just like to be happy and as they say, be living a life I don’t need to take a vacation from.

17. Who was your first best friend? – I’ve answered this question before. My best friends as a toddler were two kids called Connie and Alex, before I left Surrey my bestie was a boy named Daryl and from 5 years old my bestie has been Emily!!!

18. How tall are you? – Not very. I’ve no idea of my actual height, possibly 5ft 4.

19. Funniest moment throughout school? – Ah goodness I had so many laughs during my school years, I swear everyday was a giggle. I was lucky to have a wonderful group of friends who filled my school days with such happiness. One thing that comes to mind is pear gate, but I won’t say any more than that ha ha ha.

20. How many countries have you visited? – 10. Not including England of course. I’m hopeful that if I get my way by the end of the year that number will have increased to 15. Wish me luck please!

21. What was your favourite / worst subject in school? – Favourite would have to have been Drama and English. Least favourite was definitely Additional Science. I took my GCSE for Add Science three times and failed every time. It clearly wasn’t meant to be.

22. What would you name your children? – I want a girl named Aria and two twin boys, Theo and Leo. Cute huh?

23. How many boyfriends have you had? – Only the one I could properly count, and even that’s pushing it a bit. Loooool.

24. Who are some of your favourite youtubers?Lucy and Lydia 100%.

25. Tell us one of your bad habits? – My worst habit is biting the inside of my cheek, non stop. I’ve gotten a lot better this year and managed to curb it a lot, but I still have a little way to go before I consider it no longer a habit.

And that concludes all of the questions.

I hope everyone enjoyed this post,

My Favourite Law Of Attraction Social Media Pages

Hello everyone!

If you’ve followed my blog for a while, or if you know me well, you will know I’m a huge lover of the Law Of Attraction. It’s something I try to live my life by and I practice positivity and gratitude everyday.

To help me with my spiritual journey, I like to follow social media pages which encourage positivity and give tips and guidance on how to use the Law Of Attraction.

I truly believe in the Law Of Attraction and think it’s something everyone should learn more about, as it truly can be life changing.

Today I thought it would be a great idea to share with you some of my favourite Law Of Attraction / spiritual social media pages to encourage positivity and hopefully give¬†you a chance to learn more about The Secret…

Lets start with my all time favourite – VEX KING, the ultimate mind coach who posts the most motivational and inspirational quotes on Instagram. What I love about Vex King is how he really takes time to go in depth with his quotes, with paragraphs that are really encouraging and beneficial to the reader as you learn more and more about how to live your life in the best way.

BonVita Style is one of my favourite websites for positivity, inspiration and guidance and I aim to¬†read one new article on the site a day.¬†I actually discovered this website through Vex King and I believe the brand is somehow related to him and his fianc√© Kaushal, but I’m not entirely sure in what way. On BonVita Style you will find many wonderful articles on how to live your life in a better way, from meditation guidance to¬†small things you can do today for a better tomorrow. I love these types of posts as I find after reading them I always feel more positive, with a new sense of direction and guidance on how to make my life better. I would highly recommend checking out BonVita Style, it’s like a little online newspaper you can read everyday for fresh positivity!

I discovered Law Of Attraction Changed My Life on YouTube a few years ago and I am so thankful that I did. I love Francesca’s videos as they are always so inspiring and really reinforce my beliefs of the Law Of Attraction. I love how Fran explores different ideas and theories such as Dr Emoto’s Water Blessing and Sleep Meditation, and I find I always learn something new from her channel. I also love how Fran is so relatable and fun to watch, she never seems forced and is always really bubbly and passionate about the LOA.

How could I not include the official Instagram page of¬†The Secret¬†on this post?? If you don’t follow The Secret on Instagram I highly suggest you do as they post positive quotes daily so following them is so beneficial when you’re scrolling through your Instagram feed and stumble on to one of their inspiring posts. It’s an easy way to get your daily dose of optimism.

I listen to¬†Jason Stephenson’s YouTube videos every night before I sleep, his videos focus on meditation with guided meditation videos and lots of sleep meditation music. Before getting into bed at night, I always choose a video from Jason’s page to listen to whilst I gradually fall asleep. Of course I let the video play on as I sleep and I’ve noticed since finding Jason’s¬†channel¬†I’ve been sleeping so much better.

I can’t recommend these 5 social media pages more if you’re interested in learning more about the Law Of Attraction and living a more positive life.

I hope you all enjoyed this post.

Weekly Fitness | Diet Goals & Daily Sit Ups

Hi guys.

How is everyone?

This week has been kind of yay, kind of nay fitness wise. Not my best week, but definitely not my worst.

I started off the week with a walk with the girls, more so a stroll than a walk so¬†although we were active we didn’t¬†do any hard core exercise. Still, a walk¬†around the lake is¬†more beneficial than sitting at home on the sofa all day right?¬†Good as the walk was, the girls and I may have also ended up having a little picnic so I may have gone a bit wild with ice cream, scotch eggs and red velvet cake but hey, who can say no to all that tastiness?

Yesterday I went a little wild with the ice cream, as even though I was already full up from dinner I just had to get not one, but two scoops of Baskin Robbins chocolate ice cream to eat whilst at the cinema. I¬†can’t resist, but I need to behave. Everything in moderation I say, but I feel sometimes I have more cheat days than clean days and I need to switch that around.

I’ve decided to set myself a goal of 1700 calories a day, except on cheat days twice a week where I will give myself an allowance of 2000 calories. This is really achievable as today I’ve still got 222 calories left of my allowance and it’s almost bed time so I’ve done really well. Plus I’ve enjoyed what I’ve eaten- with delicious chicken and cheese wraps for dinner and a yummy bag of quavers as a snack. I think I’m gonna have some Maltesers before bed too whilst I watch Britain’s Got Talent. It’s so important to still eat treats and not cut anything out, as depriving yourself of food can lead to serious binging which can be so unhealthy.

When it comes to exercise¬†this week has been okay.¬†I did a brilliant 20 minute home workout on Monday which left me feeling so good, as I focused on toning my arms and abs. I did four minutes worth of sit ups and just about managed three push ups- they are so hard,¬†I’m thinking next time I’ll aim for four ha ha.

Thanks to my friend Charlotte, I found this amazing Instagram page ‘factsoftraining’ which has lots of brilliant home workout guides, and I’ve found this has helped me a lot when deciding what exercises to incorporate into my routines.

I only went to the gym once this week and I wasn’t so impressed with the session. Atlanta and I attended two classes, Aqua Fit and Pilates. Aqua Fit was tragic, as the water was too deep for me and I ended up embarrassing myself big time as I got cramp in my leg and couldn’t help crying out in panic.¬†A lady had to swim over and drag me to the side of the pool so I could sort myself out, typical me. Pilates was okay and I’d definitely do it again, but only after a proper gym session (not after a failed Aqua Fit attempt). To be honest, I’m not so much a fan of classes as I feel they don’t really do a lot for me. I find I work a lot harder on my own in the gym doing what I wanna do, not following instructions and trying to grasp different routines. I do want to try Spin at some point though!

Along with my home workout and my one gym session, I squeezed in lots of sit ups this week. For the past three days I have done 3 minutes worth of sit ups each morning before work which is fab. I absolutely love sit ups, I find even after just a few days of doing them when I look in the mirror I already notice such a vast, positive difference to my waist area. Yes yes yes to sit ups.

Going forward for the¬†coming week¬†I’m really looking forward to at least two hard core gym sessions, at least two home workouts and as many sit ups each morning as possible. I’m also looking forward to lowering my calorie intake, drinking more water and consistently eating healthy, nutritional meals.

What are your health and fitness goals for this week? Let me know in the comments below.

I hope you all enjoyed this post,

Top 5 Places I’d Like To Visit | 52 Week Blog Challenge

Hey guys.
Today its time for another of Jenny¬†and Britts 52 Week Blog Challenge and this weeks prompt is The Top 5 Places I’d Like To Visit.
As a keen traveller I’m sure it comes as no surprise when I say I’ve already done a couple of posts similar to this which you can read here and here. Since writing these posts I’ve been lucky enough to tick¬†Amsterdam off the bucket list and by the end of this year I’ll be able to cross off Italy and Florida too. How amazing!!! Seriously, I can’t wait to go to Italy with my family, it’s going to be the most perfect holiday with my favourites and of course I am seriously excited for Florida with my bestie. Every time I watch Lucy and Lydia’s Disney vlogs I almost cry with excitement.
I am so blessed that I have so many exciting adventures planned for this year (including a little trip to Disneyland early Summer- eeek) but having said that, there are still so many more places in this world I would love to visit.
Here’s my TOP 5.
1. NEW YORK.¬†I¬†was lucky enough to go to New York for my 10th birthday which was so amazing, and I feel so blessed that I can say I have¬†already visited the city that never sleeps,¬†however for the past couple of years all I’ve wanted is to go back. New York is such a vibrant city, full of life and excitement and I just long to feel that sense of being alive I know I’d feel when I’m there. I so want to go back to Times Square, to see School Of Rock on Broadway, to stand in awe as I gaze upon the incredible skyscrapers in front of me. If I could get on a plane to New York right now I would. I would love to own an apartment there one day, that would be a dream come true.
Now you’re in New York, these streets will make you feel brand new big lights will inspire you…
I love you NYC!
2. Iceland. Iceland has been on my bucket list for a good couple of years now, the Blue Lagoon looks absolutely breath taking – even just looking at photographs of it or seeing it on TV has me thinking wow. Not to mention all the incredible natural Icelandic scenery from the volcanos to the glaciers. Seeing and experiencing Iceland would be such an incredible experience, I long to go as soon as I can.
3. Dubai.¬†Dubai looks like the dream¬†paradise destination with the perfect mix of adventure¬†and relaxation. Of course if I visit Dubai I’d make the most of relaxing by the pool and enjoying the glorious beaches but I’d also make the most out of my trip with hot air balloon rides, dune buggying and shopping, shopping, shopping. I think I’d find myself in awe quite a few times too admiring the incredible buildings such as the Burj Khalifa and the Burj Al Arab.
¬†4. Canc√ļn. So I have actually been to Mexico before but only for about 20 minutes and I didn’t even step foot out of the car. My family and I crossed the border from the States and the town we found ourselves in wasn’t the friendliest, but in contrast Canc√ļn looks the complete opposite- tourist friendly and gorgeous. With wonderful nightlife, I think this would be the perfect place to go with the girls as we could go out and party when we liked but then enjoy other activities such as scuba diving, snorkelling and swimming with dolphins if we pleased (I would definitely want to do all those things and more).
5. Istanbul. Turkey has never been on my radar, I’ve never been too interested in visiting the country until my Dad showed me an Istanbul travel brochure which completely changed my mind. Istanbul? Yes please. With so much to see and do, this city seems like the perfect destination for a real¬†sightseeing holiday. The main thing on my list if I visited Istanbul would be to cross the Bosphorus Bridge, a suspension bridge which connects Europe and Asia- how cool.
I am so excited to one day visit all of these amazing places. How lucky are we to live in such a vast, incredible world?
Have you ever been to any of the places on my list? Where would you most like to travel to?
Let me know in the comments below.

April Reflections 2017

Okay so this post is slightly overdue… In fact¬†it’s majorly¬†overdue! We are halfway through May already, say what?!? Where does the time go? It’s¬†really crazy how we are almost half way through 2017 already!¬†I swear these days I don’t even stress about having to wait a week to watch the next episode of a TV show because I’m like oh, the weeks gonna go so quick anyway!
Ramble aside, today it’s finally time for my April reflections.
April was definitely my favourite month of the year so far, I made tons of fab memories with my loved ones, visited new places and adventured pretty much every weekend.
The first weekend of the month was all about friendship as I spent Saturday evening with the work gals for Jemma’s cheese night¬†and Sunday was spent with Emily and Chantal exploring the beautiful Willen Lake.
The second weekend of the month was definitely my favourite as it was my long weekend off work and I had so much fun with my friends and family. I had a movie night with Emily and Chantal followed by a night out in the Buzzard with the girls and a few of Daisy’s friends. This was such a fun night out as it was a little spontaneous and everyone knows the unplanned nights out are always the best ones.
Then on the Sunday I got to sunbathe and read my book all day as the weather was so glorious. I love sunbathing and I was proper buzzing as this one day sesh actually left me with tan lines hallelujah! I also had a little BBQ at home with my fam that day so it was the perfect Summery day!
On the Monday, my parents, sister and I took a trip to Stonehenge, as I had bought my Mum tickets for her birthday. I’d never been to Stonehenge before but its always been on my bucket list and I’m so thankful I finally got the opportunity to go, its such an interesting and fascinating place and the day was made even more¬†special as it was spent with my wonderful family. I would safely say that my day with my family visiting Stonehenge was my favourite of the year so far.
Other highlights of last month include a second night out in the Buzzard with my pals, rock and roll bingo with the fam, spending Easter Sunday with my family playing pin the tail on the rabbit and of course my weekend trip to Blackpool with my best friends – Emily, Chantal and Daisy.
Blackpool with the girls was so much fun! Blackpool is another place I’d never visited before last month and the city did not disappoint, so vibrant and fun with that typical seaside holiday atmosphere, I loved everything about it, from the exciting and interactive Madame Tussauds to the fun filled Pleasure Beach, up there in my opinion with Thorpe Park as one of the most fun amusement parks in the UK.
April was also the month I started my fitness journey starting with hill sprints inspired by Vikki followed by joining the gym inspired by Atlanta. Yasss I am so happy I have joined a gym, honestly I¬†never thought there’d come a day I became a gym goer¬†but now I am and¬†I am loving it. Seriously everyday I’m like oh I can’t wait till my next gym sesh. I try to go as much as possible but its been averaging about twice a week. I do weights, cardio, swim and obviously I also make full use of the steam room and sauna whilst I’m there too, well¬†it would be rude not to right?
All in all April was a brilliant month full of excitement, adventure, new experiences and happy times with both my family and friends. I did struggle with a few personal issues throughout last month but I’m finally starting to feel like myself again and hey, all flowers grow through dirt so here’s to me being better, brighter and the best me I can be!
So far May is going alright, its definitely more of a chilled month but I’ve definitely needed some time to relax after the activities of April and I have so much coming up this Summer its nice I’ve got a chance to chill.
I hope everyone had an amazing April and here’s to the happiest of Mays.

Weekly Fitness | Gym, Swim & Weights

Hey guys!

Firstly, I can’t believe how much I’ve slacked on the blog lately. I’ve only¬†uploaded one post¬†this month so far which was embarrassingly filled with typos and mistakes… oops. I have just been so busy lately, seeing friends, spending time with family and of course going to the GYM

Which brings me to my second point of discussion.

A couple of weeks ago I published my first¬†ever Fit Fridays post, which was supposed to be the start of a weekly blog series documenting my fitness journey… though that hasn’t gone exactly to plan considering I haven’t done a fitness post since.

I have meant to, it’s just more often than not I get home so late on a Friday night I’m too tired to¬†get my laptop out and blog, I just wanna get my pyjamas on and go to bed.

I’ve decided now that¬†rather than doing ‘Fit Fridays’ I’m going to do ‘Weekly Fitness’ instead. So I can write about my fitness journey either on a Friday or Saturday each week without having to switch up the series name every time (because Fit Saturdays just doesn’t work).

Which brings me to the actual point of todays post,

my fitness progress.

My second week of my official journey wasn’t the best as I only made it to the gym once (still better than nothing) and Emily and I swapped our weekly walk for Pizza Hut. Oops. You’ve gotta treat yourselves sometimes though right?

Then on Saturday any sign of healthy eating went completely out the window as the work gals and I went out for Atlanta’s birthday and we consumed way too much bread, drank a little too much and finished the night with a big ol’ McDonalds.

The week wasn’t a complete right off though as I had fun with my friends and of course I did make it to the gym once. Like they say, slow progress is better than no progress.

In contrast to last week, this week has been excellent health and fitness wise.

I’ve been to the gym three times and stuck to my eating plan – 3 main meals¬†and only two little treats a day.¬†I even managed to resist the temptation of chocolate fingers the other night, impressive or what?

My workouts at the gym have been brilliant too. On Tuesday Atlanta, Charlotte and I had a great cardio and weights session where I worked a little more on my arms – they were hurting for days afterwards.

No pain no gain.

Last¬†night I had a really fun sesh with the girls – Atlanta, Bridge, Tiff and Charlotte. We started off with weights, which I really struggled with but I gave¬†them a go, followed by a short spot of cardio on the bikes and cross trainers. We then headed up to the studio and worked on arms and abs, using yoga balls, punching gloves and rope. This was so much fun and required a lot of effort, I felt like I’d worked harder than ever after this. More studio time is a must in the future.

This morning I managed to drag myself out of bed so Mum could use my visitors pass and join me at the gym.

We had a great time. We smashed cardio and I had a nice go using the Stair Master which is such hard work but soooo good. I managed¬†weights for about a minute¬†until I started to feel a little ill, so Mum and I decided to call it a day and head¬†to the pool.¬†We had a swim and I managed 8 laps which is the most I’ve done so far, then we finished our day off with some Jacuzzi and Steam Room time, perfect.

All in all this week has been great for fitness and I am so thrilled as I’m really starting to see some changes in my body and everybody keeps mentioning how much weight I’ve lost. Amazing!!!

I am so looking forward to seeing what next week holds and I can’t wait to update you all again soon with my progress.

Thank you all for reading,
