!Hola Amigos!
Although I’ve been doing really well with saving my money these past couple of months, I haven’t allowed that to completely stop me from treating myself a little here and there (who am I kidding when I say ‘a little’, we all know I’ve treated myself a lot). It’s been a while since my last haul, but today it’s finally time to share with you all the amazing bits and bobs I’ve purchased these past couple of months.
There’s a lot of variety in this post as I’ve bought quite a few different things recently from cosmetics to DVDs to accessories.
The first couple of things I have bought recently are two DVDs, the first one being Moana which I just had to purchase as soon as it came out. I didn’t get to see it at the cinema and I’d been waiting ages for it to be released on DVD, now I’m so glad I’ve finally seen it. I love everything about Moana, the storyline is inspiring and powerful and I love how brave and independent of a character Moana is. Of course the beautiful island settings definitely add to the films appeal, not to mention the incredible sound track which I love to listen to in the morning to put me in an upbeat, positive, Summery mood. Moana is a 10/10 movie and up there as one of my favourite Disney films!
Shopping in HMV for Moana, I only intended to buy the one film but whilst I was there I spotted another DVD I just had to purchase – Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. Oh my God, I saw this film at the cinema last year and it literally had me in tears crying of laughter. Mike & Dave is such a funny film and the perfect movie for girls night, of course it helps too that Zac Efron plays one of the lead characters. Isn’t he gorge?
Back to Moana, I made sure to treat myself to this amazing Moana phone case which I discovered whilst having a little mooch in the Disney Store. Isn’t it the best phone case ever? Every time I pick my phone up now I feel so happy and positive. I can’t wait to use this phone case when I go to Disney Land next month, it’s perfect.
Moving on to accessories and beauty, anyone who knows me will know I love a good choker and in my opinion, Boots sell some of the best ones. I spotted this gorgeous tan colour choker in one of my local stores when browsing with my friend Hannah recently and even though I wasn’t intending to buy anything that day I just couldn’t resist. Isn’t it gorgeous? It goes so well with my beautiful floral playsuits and I think it’s the perfect choker for a Summers day.

A few weeks ago I had to go to Debenhams to pay off the last instalment of my holiday (finally, YAY) and when there I found myself a little distracted by the make up counters, which I’m sure comes as no surprise. Urban Decay was specifically the brand which caught my eye, as I was after a navy blue lipstick for Electroland next month and if anyone would have one it’d be them and I wasn’t disappointed. I found exactly what I was looking for in the Vice range, a lipstick in the shade ‘Heroine’, a gorgeous solid navy blue matte which is just perfect for me and although being a more ‘out there’ colour is still super wearable. I didn’t stop at the lippy though, as whilst browsing the lip products a beautiful sparkly blue gloss in the shade ‘Ritual’ caught my eye which I thought would go perfectly with Heroine, so of course I had to pick one up. This gloss is long wearing and water resistant too which is an added bonus and I’m really looking forward to wearing these lip products together when I go to Electroland.

Thinking I was done with my Urban Decay spree, I was all ready to pay when I thought a harmless look at the eyeshadows wouldn’t be a bad idea and that’s when I saw it… the MOONDUST palette. Oh my word, I knew as soon as I saw this it would have to be mine. It’s the most beautiful, sparkly, magical eyeshadow palette I’ve ever seen and it goes perfectly with my Ritual gloss. The quality of the Moondust palette is incredible, from the first time I used it I was so impressed as the shades are all so pigmented with incredible colour pay off, and so sparkly too. This palette has such a great variety of colours, with the more neutral shades being ‘Specter’, ‘Granite’ and ‘Lithium’, ‘Specter’ also making for the most magical of highlighters – think Unicorn style. The brighter, bolder shades are found in the aptly named ‘Lightyear’ a colour pretty much the same as the actual Buzz Lightyear, the wonderfully electric ‘Vega’ and the pretty purple ‘Magnetic’. The shades ‘Element’ and ‘Galaxy’ are not to be forgotten either as they are both such gorgeous, strong shades which are perfect for a smokey eye blend, ‘Element’ working well with ‘Specter’ for a pretty in pink look and ‘Magnetic’ being the ultimate intense smokey eye shade.

Lastly, my most recent purchases include the St Tropez In Shower Gradual Tan in the shade Medium and I bought three as they were on offer in Boots. I’ve never been one for fake tan as I’ve always feared I’d mess it up and it would go patchy, but oh my goodness this stuff has completely transformed my life. This tan is honestly the easiest tan to use ever, I don’t even exfoliate before I apply it and it finishes so well. To use this tan, all you have to do is simply get in the shower, massage the lotion on to wet skin and wait for a few minutes before rinsing off. More often than not I leave the tan on for about 10 minutes before washing off as I find it develops quicker that way, by doing this I’m literally glowing like a bronze Goddess within just a couple of days. I’m so impressed with this St Tropez tan and I would highly recommend it, especially to those who are maybe a bit more apprehensive when it comes to ‘fake bake’ as it’s just so simple, quick and easy to use and leaves skin looking naturally gorgeous and bronzed.
I am so happy with the fabulous purchases I’ve made these past couple of months, my favourite items definitely have to be my Urban Decay Moondust Palette, my Moana phone case and of course my amazing St Tropez In Shower Gradual Tan.
What have you treated yourself to lately? Have you ever used any of the products I’ve mentioned above? Let me know in the comments below.
Thank you all for reading,
love,
Jennie.
