Hi guys!
Lately, I’ve felt like I’ve been at a bit of standstill with my weight loss. Since starting my fitness journey back in April I know I’ve achieved so much. I’ve visibly lost weight, dropped a dress size and become more active which is amazing, however I can’t deny my main struggle has been my diet.
Although I don’t eat half as much as I used to – this time last year my lunches would consist of doughnuts, two rounds of sandwiches plus a bag of crisps and maybe some fruit which is just excessive. Nowadays my lunches consist of one round of sandwiches, a couple of portions of fruit and maybe a chocolate bar or crisps if I’m feeling peckish. That’s a massive difference but even so, I feel like since I went to Paris last month I’ve lost track of my dietary goals and been snacking way more than I want to.
I’m sure that the reason I feel I’m at a standstill with my weight loss is because of what I’m eating. I exercise frequently and do a variety of different workouts, from HIIT to weights to walking to swimming, so I know I’m smashing it when it comes to keeping active. I’ve just got to get back on track with my diet goals and remain focused.
As I’m going on holiday in just 18 days, I’ve decided to write myself out some goals for the next couple of weeks, using my fitness journal to give myself daily calorie allowances which of course I’m aiming to stick to. I haven’t really written out any actual fitness / diet goals in a while which I think is why I’ve slightly fallen off the track a little, so I’m certain that now I have a clearer picture in my mind of what I want to achieve I’m going to find it much easier to stay focused and motivated.
As well as focusing on my calorie intake and what I’m eating, I’m going to make sure I keep up with my exercise in the coming weeks. I have been doing so well this month with working out and keeping active and I’m aiming to continue this with a minimum of 4 workouts a week, whether that be HIIT, gymming or swimming. I’m also aiming to increase my step count and go on at least one walk a week, which should be easy for me to achieve.
I think that having clear set out goals to follow is really going to help me get back on track with my fitness journey and keep me motivated to achieve my goals.
I’m so happy with how far I’ve come already and I’m really looking forward to seeing what more I can achieve in the next couple of weeks with a little bit of focus and direction. Bring it on.
What are your fitness goals for the next couple of weeks? What are you doing to stay motivated? Let me know in the comments below.
Thank you for reading,
love,
Jennie.

ughhh you’re amazing for doing all this! I’ve just decided I’m going to start gumming properly and this has just inspired me to set goals for myself and to write down the things I eat and now I can’t wait haha!! xxx

Nice, a minimum of four workouts a week doesn’t sound too bad. I feel like I’m pushing myself too much in doing yoga twice a day (which I haven’t really done, lol) that my entire motivation to workout is suffering. lol

Yes, it’s definitely achievable! And enough to make a difference also. I know exactly what you mean, twice a day is quite a goal especially when considering finding the time to do those workouts, we need more hours in the day! I’ve been the same, sometimes I’ve found the bigger the goals I’ve had, the less motivation I’ve had to actually achieve them. Maybe try just one yoga workout a day and go from there?
