When a seaside escape spells romance… Claire is ready for a bright new chapter. Winding her way to the coast for a cosy cottage retreat, she prays that three weeks of blissful peace and summer sunshine will wash away the pain of the last year.
Claire’s a survivor – she’s growing proud of the scars that prove it – and she’s determined to make the most of each and every day, to seize those little magic moments that give life its sparkle.

Her plan for peaceful solitude goes awry when handsome, brooding Ed turns up in the cottage next door. Will a little summer romance prove the worst distraction? Or might it be the perfect remedy?

My review

My Summer Of Magic Moments tells the story of Claire and her summer of bliss as she falls in love with her cottage by the sea, naturally, a gorgeous setting for the reader to enjoy and get carried away with, giving you that warm glowing feeling that you are right there by the seaside with Claire on her journey.

I fell in love with this story as it reminded me to appreciate the simple things in life, and to treasure and cherish the little moments because really they are the most special of all.

I found this story a lovely, heart-warming, light hearted read which flowed perfectly from chapter to chapter. There was never a dull moment, although I was excited and keen to keep the pages turning so as to see how Claire and Ed’s relationship developed, however I won’t say too much as I don’t want to give away any spoilers.

The characters in this book were all so easy to warm to and I liked each and every one of them. Even the tougher characters had redeeming qualities and I enjoyed the character growth and development throughout the book, especially following Claire on her journey as she became stronger and prouder of herself, finding that all important self love. Claire is a lovely main character who you are just rooting for throughout the whole novel, and I really enjoyed experiencing her story and following along with her on her journey.

Although I find this book to be quite a light hearted read, there were definitely a few twists and turns and deeper plot lines throughout the story which kept the book interesting and gripping and I was keen to see how the story was going to pan out.

One thing I loved about this book along with the romance (my favourite) was the feel of togetherness and friendship. I love how the story focused on Claire’s friendship and her support network and it wasn’t all just romance, romance, romance. Friendship is to be valued and treasured and I love how this story put so much focus on Claire’s friendships and as a reader, I enjoyed experiencing Claire’s social life and the bond she has with her friends. I think this book serves as a great reminder for us to cherish our friendships and remember how fortunate we are to have the love of our friends around us.

My Summer Of Magic Moments encompasses everything that’s important in life in such a special, magical, delightful way. Friendship, family, love, strength, self love and growth, and most importantly, the importance of appreciating and making the most of every single moment, big and small.

I absolutely adored this book, enjoying every single page so much. My Summer Of Magic Moments is one of the most charming and magical books I have had the pleasure of reading, making it the perfect Summer read that although I couldn’t put down, I also didn’t want to finish because I simply wanted to enjoy Claire’s magical world forever.

My Summer Of Magic Moments is one of the most delightful, heart warming stories that reminds you to appreciate the magic moments in every single day, because there are so many. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone, because I think we could all benefit from learning a thing or two from this beautiful story. Life is magical, always.
