My Top 3 TV Couples | Happy Valentines Day

Hey lovelies!

In honour of it being Valentines Day today (Happy Vday guys) and with me being an avid Netflix / TV lover, I thought what better way to celebrate than by compiling a list of all my favourite TV couples, or should I say, my top 3? I think that would be a better way to narrow it down to be honest, I wanna share with you the ones I’m the most passionate about.

One thing that can pull me into a TV show like no other is for sure is the romance element, although I enjoy watching programmes for other reasons too, if there’s an adorable couple who I love, I will probably be watching 90% for them, take The Vampire Diaries for example… Elena and Damon, they were probably 80% of the reason I loved the show so much, although to be honest, it was a pretty good show in general. I think I liked all the relationship elements of that show to be honest, that’s one of the things that was so great about it, the characters, the character development, and the relationships / friendships between them… anyway, I’m rambling. Let’s jump in!

*Warning, potential spoilers alert*

My Top 3 Favourite Television Couples

Damon And Elena (The Vampire Diaries)

delena2
I love Damon and Elena’s relationship, and I love their characters both separately and together. As a couple, they have so much passion and so much love between them, it’s addictive and gripping to watch. Their story as a couple is an emotional roller coaster which made me as a viewer feel oh so much, I cried when they cried and I was rooting for them the whole time, and I’m so happy they ended up together. To be honest, I’m on the verge of tears thinking about the whole show right now. It was so powerful in evoking emotion, I can’t even.

Bonnie and Enzo (The Vampire Diaries)

You Made a Choice to Be Good

When Enzo died, my whole heart broke for both Bonnie and Enzo, for the love Bonnie deserved and was receiving, which tragically ended all too soon. I love how much Enzo loved Bonnie, how romantic he was with her, and how much Bonnie loved him too, she would do anything for him, and fight for him no matter what it took. These two are a couple who deserved a happier ending than they got, but hey, that’s the beauty of television, and I’m grateful the producers / script writers of TVD didn’t play it safe just to give the fans what they want. Besides, Bonnie is an incredibly strong woman, and she got to live a happy life in the end too. RIP Enzo.

Chuck and Blair (Gossip Girl)

CHAIR

Chair. What a couple name. I think Chuck and Blair were the whole reason I watched Gossip Girl and even though their whole relationship was actually very unhealthy, when it comes down to it, I can’t help but love them, and they clearly can’t help but love one another, which I think is what drew me and a lot of people into their love story. That ‘they always come back to each other love’. They were a bad couple, manipulative, game playing and kind of toxic, but when it came down to it, they had each others backs, and in the end, when maturity kicked in, they still loved each other without the complications. They loved each other through every single emotion, and every element of their relationship, they went through everything together and came out of it stronger and happier than ever, and what’s more important than that, hey?

  1. I can’t read the Vampire Diaries bits because I still plan to watch the show someday & even more so now that I read your little review on the characters in the introduction. Sounds like my type of show.

Chuck & Blair are EVERYTHING. I was so in love with them as a couple & let’s admit, without the toxicity, it wouldn’t have had the same passion. ❤ ❤

What a fun post, Jennie!! Love it!!
