Hello my loves and welcome back to my blog, how is everybody today? I hope we’re all well!
As of today, I have set myself a fitness and health challenge for the next two weeks because I really want to tone up and start feeling good in my body and what better way to motivate myself to eat healthier and exercise more than by setting myself a challenge. This gives me something to focus on and work towards, so each day my decisions around food / drink and exercise are more conscious.
Whilst I’d say I am at a good size, I definitely want to be a little slimmer and altogether more toned so I look healthy as well as feel it. We are so blessed to have our bodies which look after us and enable us to live well, I want to treat my temple well by filling it with an abundance of healthy goodness and respecting its nutritional needs.
*I am doing this challenge for myself and I’m sharing the results with you here on the blog to keep myself motivated and to help and inspire other people who may be interested in taking a health and fitness journey of their own!*
Here are my goals
Minimise my dairy intake (less cheese, less eggs, less milk)
First of all let me say, I am NOT cutting out chocolate. Hence why I’m minimising my dairy intake and not cutting it out completely for the next two weeks, haha. I know some dark chocolate is vegan which I love, but I have a whole ton of Easter Eggs to wade my way through which I am not going two weeks without. No way. And I think to cut it out completely would be depriving myself because I also love cheese. But making more conscious decisions with regards my dairy intake will slowly but surely make a difference and who knows, maybe one day I may be vegan, but that’s not a route I’m looking to go down just yet, but I do want to cut certain dairy products out where I can.
My main reason for limiting my dairy consumption with this challenge is actually more for health reasons than anything else. I found last year when I first went vegetarian that I was consuming so much cheese which really affected my skin. I went from virtually no spots, to more than I’d ever had before. Not okay hun, I also want to see if I will lose weight by consuming less dairy (especially cheese) because I know it can be quite calorific. I am already working on switching the milk I have with my cereals to Soy milk, which is a change I can see lasting as it tastes perfectly fine and doesn’t affect my breakfast enjoyment at all so I think, why have cows milk with that when I don’t need to? I don’t really eat a lot of egg but I have been loving the Quorn Scotch Eggs recently, so that’s something I’m going to have to wait another two weeks to purchase again ha ha.
Drink more water
We all know how good drinking water is for us so I really want to focus on consuming more of that h20 goodness. Why? As our body is made up of roughly 60% water, it is simply essential to stay hydrated for our own survival, plus along with the extensive list of reasons it is good for us, it’s also very good for our skin hehe, and I want that glowing radiant beauty yes please!
Workout 4 times a week
Eating well and drinking water is all well and great but that diet change has to go hand in hand with exercising! In order to tone up I need to be working out, plus exercise is so good for our mental health and well being. It feels so good and refreshing to get our bodies moving and you can’t work out without feeling accomplished and proud of yourself afterwards. There is really only positives to gain from a healthy amount of exercise!
Drink less fizzy
I am a coke addict. Just saying! I love fizzy drinks and as someone who goes to the pub quite often, I am consuming soda on the daily (because I always have a bottle of coke at home too). There’s nothing wrong with fizzy in moderation but as my Mum says, it’s all about the balance so whilst I am not going to be cutting out fizzy (never, ever, ever), I definitely am going to lower my fizzy intake and not resort to having it everyday, instead sometimes opting for fruit juices or water. I think this will definitely help with weight loss as fizzy is something I consume so much of, I’m sure my stomach will be more toned in no time if I cut down on my intake slightly!
Eat as much fruit and veg as possible
Fruits and veg are so good for us (obviously) and they are a true gift from Mother Earth. I want to honour my body by nourishing it and filling it with all the healthy goodness and one of the best ways to do that is by treating it with all the healthy foods! We love foods that make us feel good and fruits and veg are literally designed to do just that because they are healthy, and feeling health equals feeling good plus nothing beats a nice colourful plate of food with sweetcorn, broccoli, carrots and more. A veggie packed meal can make you feel so good just by looking at it!
I am so excited to see how I get on with this challenge and hopefully I will notice some difference in my weight, skin and general health and well being once the next two weeks are up. I am looking forward to sharing my results with you here on the blog but always remember that with food and exercise, doing what feels good to you is always the right path to go so if you wanna eat all the cheese, eat all the cheese and if you wanna have fizzy with breakfast lunch and dinner then go for it, as long as you’re doing what makes you happy and what feels good to you, and as long as you are loving yourself then you’re on to a winner!
Have you set yourself any goals for the next couple of weeks? What’s your favourite form of exercise? Be sure to let me know in the comments below.
As always thank you all for reading,
lots of love and light,
Jennie

Aww, yay I’m so happy I can make your day!!
In Minnesota, they all call ‘soda’ ‘pop’ but then when I moved to Washington, all the kids were like “what the heck is pop? a noise?!” LOL. SO ever since then, I have called it ‘soda’ but ‘fizzy’ is much cuter, hehe. ❤
Oooh & I love your new photo!! ❤
