The ‘Little Black Playsuit’ Outfit Of The Day

Hi Who needs an LBD when you’ve got the little black playsuit? Just kidding of course, there’s room for all outfits in my wardrobe (which is actually a lie, because my wardrobe is full to the brim but you know what I mean, I still back the LBD, I’m just having fun)…

Last year, I ordered the chicest black playsuit from ‘pretty little thing’. I’ll be honest, I’m not one for having too much black in my wardrobe. I know for so many people it’s their go to colour to wear, but I’m definitely a girl who wears more colourful, patterned outfits and that’s okay. We all have our own styles and tastes, which is what keeps this world exciting.

Though I’m usually someone who wears more colour, I can’t remember what compelled me to even have a look at this playsuit on the ‘pretty little thing’ website, but something must have done and honestly, I’m so glad I decided to view this cute playsuit and purchase.

As far as I remember, it was a completely random order, but I’ve worn this playsuit so much since, I just adore it.

Being that I shot a few photos in this outfit back around the time of purchasing, I’ve decided to share those with you here for a little outfit of the day, and to show you how I’ve worn it since, and how I’ve styled it up for different occasions.

As you can see, this playsuit is really chic. If I had to use one word to describe this piece, it would be that- chic. It’s fun and flirty, with big(ish) sleeves and ties which keep the look playful, and it’s so flattering being that it’s fairly baggy (without being too much so), it’s definitely a comfy number to wear.

What I love about this outfit is that it can be dressed up for a night out, or dressed down for a casual occasion, such as chilling at a friends house. It’s glam and comfy all at the same time, and so so versatile. I have worn this playsuit so many times and whilst I would say it veers more on the dressy side, I do think with a pair of tights and trainers (or even no tights in the Summer), it 100% works as a chic casual outfit also.

I‘ve worn this playsuit whilst out for dinner, on a date, on a night out in Vegas, for activities during the day and to celebrate New Years Eve 2019/2020. I don’t wear a bra with this outfit as it’s off the shoulder so personally I think it looks better without, and this creates a fun opportunity to style the playsuit up with some gorgeous jewellery.

Whilst in my ‘outfit of the day’ photos for this look I’m wearing a pair of brown strappy sandal heels, on New Years Eve I decided to pair this playsuit with my velvet crushed over the knee boots for that added sprinkle of sass which I think worked so perfectly and really pulled the look together, creating that perfect NYE glam.

As I mentioned above, I would definitely style this playsuit with trainers also, for a more casual occasion.

Overall I really adore this playsuit, it’s so comfy and such a versatile number, whilst still being completely fun, glam and of course CHIC.

I have worn this playsuit such a lot since purchasing, it’s definitely one of my go to outfits and I’m so excited to wear it more in the future.

It’s great to have outfits that we can style and switch up, and get lots of enjoyable wear out of.
