‘Makeup To Be Murdered By’ Eminem Inspired Makeup Look Book

Hey, Angels.

How is everyone feeling today? Let me know in the comments, open up, express yourself, be honest. Whatever you are feeling, I am here for you always!!! & if you’re feeling good, then I am totally here to celebrate that! Through everything, I am here! My comments are always open! ♥

Today, I have an exciting makeup look book to share, inspired by my favourite – Eminem. Anyone who knows me will know that I am an Eminem superfan, I even have a whole tattoo dedicated to him which I actually happened to get when I was drunk on holiday with my girls – read more about that holiday here.

Being that I’m such an Eminem superfan, I’m sure it comes as no surprise that I was thrilled when he dropped his surprise album ‘Music To Be Murdered By’ in January. This came as such a welcome blessing, new music is always a joy, especially when it’s as fire as this album. Some of my favourite tracks from MTBMB have to be Godzilla, Those Kinda Nights, In Too Deep, Never Love Again & Marsh, basically all the songs I created looks for here in this look book (except for NLA), so let’s get on to that…

Thanks to Eminem’s ‘Music To Be Murdered By’ I was blessed with the idea to create a few makeup looks inspired by the album & certain tracks from it. This album really had me feeling creative and excited, and my mind was exploding with ideas and visions whilst listening to these songs, so without further ado, let’s jump straight into the Look Book.

Enjoy!

‘Makeup To Be Murdered By’ An Eminem inspired Look Book.

MAKEUP TO BE MURDERED BY

My first look in the Look Book inspired by the album itself, I created this before I even had the idea / intention to create a whole Look Book. Originally, this look was supposed to be kept just to the face, but then I thought it would be a good idea to add something a little extra to the hand and then, when I put my outfit on to take the pictures I thought ‘something is missing here’, so I proceeded to add a whole lot of fake blood, tissue and liquid latex to my chest / neck area (not in that order obvs, the liquid latex came first, LOL). I actually used up one of my favourite NYX liquid lipsticks whilst doing this look too, I believe the Liquid Suede Lipstick ‘Cherry Skies’, which I absolutely adore, so I’m definitely going to have to repurchase, it’s a gorgeous shade.

I’m really happy with how this look turned out, it took me hours and I’m so happy I pushed myself to keep adding more, as opposed to keeping it just to the face area, it definitely helped to bring the look together and give it that real something-something. I’m also really happy with how the photos turned out, thanks to my Mum shooting them for me! She’s a good’un!

GODZILLA

You get in my way, I’ma feed you to the monster!

Of course this look had to be green themed!! The crown took me a few attempts, and I know if I were to keep on redoing this look, trying out different ideas etc, it will grow and grow to be really awesome. I actually saw a really cool ‘Godzilla’ look on Instagram after posting this, over on ‘makeupbyclare_‘s Instagram which I’ll link here. This look currently stands as one of my most liked photos on Insta, so I’m pretty happy about that. I guess green is my colour, hehe!

MARSH

My name is Marsh and, I’m out this world, Call me extra, extra terrestrial

I actually did this look twice, the first time I was not happy at all with how it turned out, I sent the photos to Rossy for some kind of approval / reassurance but in the end, when I realised I had more time on my hands than I thought, I decided to have a go at the look again a few days later and I’m so happy I did. It definitely turned out so much better the second time around! So fun!

IN TOO DEEP

Oh this look was just so much fun to create – would of helped if I could have used body paint for the chest / neck area as opposed to yellow glitter though, however it’s all I had. I’ve used all my yellow glitter up now, I’m definitely going to have to get some more because it’s a favourite!! But anyway, back to the look. Oh I just enjoyed this so much. Again, it wasn’t one I was intending on taking down to the body, I was just going to paint my face however, as with the first look (Makeup To Be Murdered By) and trying on my outfit to go with, I knew it needed a little something more and that was when I used up all my glitter, hehe! I enjoyed the use of shading in this look so much, it was so fun to try out different techniques which I don’t usually use, and I’m so excited to continue on this creative journey, this look was so fun.

THOSE KINDA NIGHTS

The last look in the Look Book and I love it, this one’s a little more glam compared to the others right? But it suited the song sooo… I’m also loving the earrings I’ve paired with this look (a birthday gift from my sister and her family), they compliment everything so perfectly. I love this glam look, and the glitter in the inner corner of my eyes really ties it all together. I’m loving the colours I chose for the eyeshadow too, so fun!
