Dear 15 Year Old Me + An Exciting Announcement!

Hello, hello, hello! How are we all today?

Months and months ago now, my gorge-y hun Hunida tagged me in the coolest tag ever – the ‘Dear 15 Year Old Me tag’. I just went back to the post and noticed she actually posted this on my birthday… fate or what!? First of all, this tag was created by ‘Everyday Magic With Jubilee’ & ‘Mom Life With Chiari’, so major props to them for creating this inspiring, thought provoking tag filled with so much care. THANK YOU!

Of course, a big thank you to my girl Hunida for tagging me in this. This tag is right up my street, I love anything thoughtful and reflective, so I’m really thrilled to have been tagged in this. Read Hunida’s post here.

I actually wrote out the answers to these questions a good few months ago now but, I’m only just feeling called to publish this post. Originally, I wasn’t even sure I was going to share this, but now just seems like the right time. If you caught my recent post, ‘The Inspiring Blogger Award’, I spoke a lot about self love, and how it’s something I’d love to teach in schools because I think it’s so important we all learn to fall in love with ourselves from a young age. That’s why I felt inspired to share this post with you here today, as it’s a letter to my younger self, and I just hope that it helps and inspires anyone who may be reading this to take care of yourself, to love yourself, to look after yourself and realise your own magical beauty within. Please please please know that you are special, you are worthy of a blessed life, you deserve to be loved and you deserve to love yourself. You have ALWAYS been good enough, no matter what.

Dear 15 Year Old Me…

  • Don’t be hard on yourself because…

You are magic. If you could see where you’d be in 10 years time, I think you’d be proud of yourself. You’re still learning baby girl, you just gotta love yourself because you deserve it. You are going to become a strong, kind young woman, and you are going to travel and have fun and you’re going to date. You’re going to have days where you feel amazing, beautiful and confident, so don’t worry about that now because you are going to feel worthy someday, someday you are going to feel good enough so try to remember that for now because the truth is, you already are worthy. The beauty has been inside you all along and you don’t need anybody else’s approval but your own. Believe in YOUR own beauty, because you have it. Just focus on enjoying life, and love yourself, because you do deserve it.

  • The relationship you’re in…

I mean, you’re not in one, and that’s okay too. I know you really really want a boyfriend, and I’m sorry to tell you that 10 years later, you still do LOL, but you’ve got your whole life ahead of you to meet ‘the one’, but I want you to become your own Soulmate first okay? Love yourself more and more everyday and your Mr Right will come along! And the boys you’re crushing on now? Well… we’ve actually spoken to a few of them since and let me tell you, the feelings that you once thought you had, they’re gone now so yeah, try not to get too upset that ‘they don’t like you back’, it’s not that serious!

  • You will get through this because…

You’re a boss ass chick! You know you’ve got magic inside of you, start embracing it. Trust me baby, you’re more beautiful and stronger than you think. You can and will achieve anything you set your mind to!

•Don’t get caught up in thinking…

That you have to be anyone but yourself. Just be authentically you honey, that’s cool enough!

  • These experiences will help you learn…

That you just gotta love yourself, baby ❤️

  1. This is so trippy to read because it’s like being a big sister to a younger you. If only younger you could have heard all of this, isn’t it crazy how being older makes you see things in the past in a whole different light? Thanks for sharing and tagging me! And I’ve subscribed to ya! 🥰

Like they say everything happens for a reason, but we sometimes only see that years later… madness.
