Shopaholic Sunday | Moana, Urban Decay, St Tropez

!Hola Amigos!

Although I’ve been doing really well with saving my money these past couple of months, I haven’t allowed that to completely stop me from treating myself a little here and there (who am I kidding when I say ‘a little’, we all know I’ve treated myself a lot). It’s been a while since my last haul, but today it’s finally time to share with you all the amazing bits and bobs I’ve purchased these past couple of months.

There’s a lot of variety in this post as I’ve bought quite a few different things recently from cosmetics to DVDs to accessories.

The first couple of things I have bought recently are two DVDs, the first one being Moana which I just had to purchase as soon as it came out. I didn’t get to see it at the cinema and I’d been waiting ages for it to be released on DVD, now I’m so glad I’ve finally seen it. I love everything about Moana, the storyline is inspiring and powerful and I love how brave and independent of a character Moana is. Of course the beautiful island settings definitely add to the films appeal, not to mention the incredible sound track which I love to listen to in the morning to put me in an upbeat, positive, Summery mood.¬†Moana is¬†a 10/10 movie and up there as one of my favourite Disney films!

Shopping¬†in HMV for Moana, I only intended to buy the one film¬†but whilst I was there I spotted another DVD I just had to purchase – Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. Oh my God, I saw this film at the cinema last year and it literally had me in tears crying of laughter. Mike & Dave is such a funny film and the perfect movie for girls night, of course it helps too that Zac Efron plays one of the lead characters. Isn’t he gorge?

Back to Moana, I made sure to treat myself to this amazing Moana phone case which I discovered whilst having a little mooch in the Disney Store. Isn’t it the best phone case ever? Every time I pick¬†my phone¬†up now¬†I feel so happy and positive. I can’t wait to use this phone case when I go to Disney Land next month, it’s perfect.

Moving on to accessories and beauty, anyone who knows me will know I love a good choker and in my opinion, Boots sell some of the best ones. I spotted this gorgeous tan colour choker in one of my local stores when browsing with my friend Hannah recently and even though I wasn’t intending to buy anything that day I just couldn’t resist. Isn’t it gorgeous? It goes so well with my beautiful floral playsuits and I think it’s the perfect choker for a Summers day.

How good is the price?? Only £5 for such a good quality, pretty choker.
Rocking the tan choker and floral playsuit look!

A few weeks ago I had to go to Debenhams to pay off the last instalment of my holiday (finally, YAY) and when there¬†I found myself a little distracted by the make up counters, which I’m sure comes as no surprise. Urban Decay was specifically¬†the brand which caught my eye, as I was after a navy blue lipstick for Electroland next month and¬†if anyone would have one it’d be them and I wasn’t disappointed. I found exactly what I was looking for in the Vice¬†range, a lipstick in the shade¬†‘Heroine’, a gorgeous solid navy blue matte¬†which is just perfect for me and although being a more ‘out there’ colour is still super wearable.¬†I didn’t stop¬†at the lippy though,¬†as whilst browsing the lip products a beautiful sparkly blue gloss in the shade ‘Ritual’ caught my eye which I thought would go perfectly with¬†Heroine, so of course I had to pick one up. This gloss is long wearing and water resistant too which is an added bonus and I’m really looking forward to wearing these lip products together when I go to Electroland.

Thinking I was done with my Urban Decay spree, I was all ready to pay when I thought a harmless look at the eyeshadows wouldn’t be a bad idea and that’s when I saw it… the MOONDUST palette. Oh my word, I knew as soon as I saw this it would have to be mine. It’s the most beautiful, sparkly, magical eyeshadow palette I’ve ever seen and it goes perfectly with my¬†Ritual gloss. The quality of the Moondust palette is incredible, from the first time I used it I was so impressed as the shades are all so pigmented with incredible colour pay off, and so sparkly too. This palette has such a great variety of colours, with the more neutral shades being ‘Specter’, ‘Granite’ and ‘Lithium’, ‘Specter’ also making for the most magical of highlighters – think Unicorn style. The brighter, bolder shades are found in the aptly named ‘Lightyear’ a colour pretty much the same as the actual Buzz Lightyear, the wonderfully electric ‘Vega’ and the pretty purple ‘Magnetic’. The shades ‘Element’ and ‘Galaxy’ are not to be forgotten either as they are both such gorgeous, strong shades which are perfect for a smokey eye blend, ‘Element’ working well with ‘Specter’ for a pretty in pink look and ‘Magnetic’ being the ultimate¬†intense smokey eye shade.

Lastly, my most recent purchases include the St Tropez¬†In Shower Gradual Tan¬†in the shade Medium and I bought three as they were on offer in Boots. I’ve never been one for fake tan as I’ve always feared I’d mess it up and it would go patchy, but oh my goodness this stuff has completely transformed my life. This tan is honestly the easiest tan to use¬†ever, I don’t even exfoliate before I apply it and it finishes so well. To use this tan, all you have to do is simply get in the shower, massage the lotion on to wet skin and wait for a few minutes¬†before rinsing off.¬†More often than not I leave the tan on for about 10 minutes before washing off as I find it develops quicker that way, by doing this I’m literally glowing like a bronze Goddess within just a couple of days. I’m so impressed with this St Tropez¬†tan¬†and I would highly recommend it, especially to those who are maybe a bit more apprehensive when it comes to ‘fake bake’ as it’s just so simple, quick and easy to use and leaves skin looking naturally gorgeous and bronzed.

I am so happy with the fabulous purchases I’ve¬†made these past couple of months, my favourite items definitely have to be my Urban Decay Moondust Palette, my Moana phone case and of course my amazing St Tropez In Shower Gradual Tan.

What have you treated yourself to lately? Have you ever used any of the products I’ve mentioned above? Let me know in the comments below.

Major Spring LUSH Haul & Oxford Street Exclusives.

Hello everyone and welcome back to another LUSH haul here on my blog.
This could quite possibly be my biggest LUSH haul yet as I have recently treated myself to a grand total of 17 Lush products… including products from the Easter¬†collection and a few¬†Oxford Street exclusives,¬†hehehe I think I can officially call myself a true LUSHIE now.
We have a lot to get through, so let’s first start with the products I bought from the Easter range…
Firstly I bought the Chick ‘n’ Mix bath bomb which I have already used and although I liked it, I didn’t love it. With this bath bomb, you can split the product into three parts to get more use out of it, or you can use it all together for a really epic bath. I decided to use it all up in one go and I’m glad I did, as separately I wasn’t too keen on the colours each piece turned my bath water but all together it mixed to create a nice blend of colours.
Next up I obviously had to buy the amazing Golden Egg bath bomb which smells deliciously¬†sweet like toffee¬†and is a glitter overload. Like for real this is the most glittery bath bomb I’ve ever come across, I’m definitely saving this one to use before a special occasion so I can sparkle like a superstar ha ha. You can see from my pictures how much glitter I got over my hands just from holding it.

I of course had to buy the Bunch Of Carrots, which is a set of three gorgeous carrot shaped bubble bars in the prettiest Spring colours. I’ve already used up one of my carrots¬†and I have to say,¬†if you are a bubble lover like me then you will love this trio. Just one carrot filled my bath with SO many bubbles, I was really impressed.

Finally from the Easter range I bought the Which Came First? bath bomb, which¬†although at the time¬†I wasn’t overly fussed about purchasing,¬†it’s now one of the products I’m most looking forward to using. Judging by the brief reviews I’ve read, it’s gonna be an egg-citing one (hehe forgive the pun)!!

Easter products all done with, it’s now time for the Oxford Street exclusives part of my haul.

If you follow me on¬†Instagram you may have seen me post about the Roller bath bomb before, which is a gorgeous white / purple bath bomb with a delicious sweet scent that when placed in the bath, turns the water beautiful shades of blues and purples. From my first use of this bath bomb I fell in love and it’s up there on my list as one of my favourite Lush products ever,¬†so obviously when in London I had to stock up. I bought three and I’ve already used one of them, so I’m gonna have to be really careful and savour my other two.

One Oxford Street exclusive I’ve never used before is the Guardian Of The Forest bath bomb and¬†as soon as I saw it I instantly fell in love with its gorgeous green shade. I love the colour and the name of this product, it looks and sounds so lovely so I’m really looking forward to using it.

Adding more products I’ve never used before to my basket, I also bought two of the Metamorphosis bath bombs. I’d never even heard of Metamorphosis before my recent trip to London¬†and I was absolutely buzzing when I first saw it in store.¬†The edgy dark grey shade of this bath bomb¬†is so cool and with a hint of silver sparkle to go with it,¬†I have a feeling this bath bomb is gonna be a good’un which is why I bought two.
As it’s spring now, I of course had to pick up another delicious Grass bubble bar which I’ve used already. Grass is such a lovely, cheerful little product there’s no way I could have left the store without one.
To add to the Spring theme, I just had to pick up the Sacred Lotus bath bomb which is a beautiful, floral product perfect for the spring/ Summer months. I’m looking forward to using this one and I may combine it with one of my carrot bubble bars for the ultimate bath cocktail.

Whilst in Oxford Street I also managed to get my hands on the limited edition Buy One Set One Free bath bomb, which although isn’t an Oxford Street exclusive is¬†a product I couldn’t not buy.¬†This bath bomb was created to support the release Andy Tsege, a man who is currently being held on death row after being kidnapped in June 2014. For more information and to sign for Andy’s release, please click here.

For the third and final part of my haul, we have all the bath bombs I bought which are the ones you can get all year round, most of them being ones I’ve never used before.

For the first time ever, I decided to pick up a Dragons Egg bath bomb. I decided to go for this one as because it was in store right next to Golden Egg some glitter had fallen onto it making it look even more pretty. I’m really excited to use this bath bomb as I love the look of it, very simple but very cute. I also love the name of it!
The Blackberry bath bomb is another product I’ve never used before, so I decided to buy that one too as surely you can’t go wrong with a blackberry themed product?? I’m looking forward to using this!
Yoga bath bomb is another product I picked up which I’ve never tried before, and I’m really glad I decided to treat myself to one as I heard somewhere that it’s being discontinued?? I’ve seen on Instagram loads of #Saveyogabomb tags, so I guess we’ll see what happens, but I’m really pleased I picked one up so if it does go at least I’ve¬†got the chance to try it.
Finally I couldn’t resist picking up one of my all time favourite bath bombs, the Intergalactic bath bomb. I just love how Intergalactic creates the most amazing designs in the bath water and I will never get over how magical it is. I originally bought Intergalactic to use alongside my Unicorn Horn bubble bar however after browsing through Instagram for some ultimate Lush inspo, I saw someone use it with the Golden Egg bath bomb and it looked insane so I might have to do that instead. I can always get another Intergalactic in the coming weeks to use with my Unicorn Horn as thankfully it’s available all year round.
So that wraps up my very long, very awesome LUSH haul, I hope you enjoyed this post!
Have you ever used any of these LUSH products? Which product is your favourite from the Easter range? Let me know in the comments below.

LUSH Grass Bubble Bar Review.

Hurray, Spring is finally here which means that the time has finally arrived to put to use LUSH’s Oxford Street exclusive Grass bubble bar.

When I first saw Grass in LUSH’s Oxford street store I knew I had to have it, a product which combines my love for LUSH and all things nature in a way as if this bubble bar was made for me.

‘Grass’ is a gorgeous bubble bar perfect for Spring/ Summer time. Decorated with little daisies on the exterior, which in my opinion just add that extra special touch making the product ever more cheery and Summery.

Naturally this bubble bar comes with an aroma of well… Grass (No surprise there then)! A delicious and fresh scent, if you love being outside, exploring and experiencing nature and breathing in the fresh scents of the outdoors then you will be in Heaven with this. The scent does wear off after a little while but as it smells so good to begin with, I can’t complain.

When it comes to bubbles, Grass creates the perfect amount for this product, it doesn’t overload the water with bubbles but there are enough to layer the bath nicely plus they feel soft and foamy! What more could you want?

Naturally Grass turns the bath water a gorgeous green shade and this along with the bubbles makes it feel as though you are bathing in a lovely Summery meadow.

I absolutely love the Grass bubble bar and will definitely be purchasing it again. It’s one of my favourite LUSH Oxford Street products (second only to Roller). This bubble bar makes me feel so happy as it’s so Summery and reminds me of being outdoors exploring and adventuring.

Grass can be purchased for ¬£3.95 (bargain) from¬†LUSH’s Oxford Street store or online.

Have you ever used the Grass bubble bar? What’s your favourite LUSH bubble bar? Let me know in the comments below.

LUSH Golden Slumbers Bath Bomb Review.

‘All that glitters is gold’

LUSH’s Golden Slumbers bath bomb is a glitter lovers dream and whilst the exterior of the product isn’t overloaded in glitter ‘Sunnyside’ or ‘Golden Egg’ style, at first glance you can undoubtedly spot the sparkle.

Golden Slumbers is an Oxford Street exclusive product I purchased on a recent¬†day trip to London. I wasn’t too sure what to expect from¬†this bath bomb¬†as when I first picked it up¬†it didn’t¬†overly excite me, I almost didn’t even buy one!¬†In the end however I realised¬†it was my only chance for a while to pick one of these up and¬†how could I resist all that glitter and sparkle? So I popped one in my basket and eek, I’m so happy I did.

Golden Slumbers is enchanting, fizzing away with a crackle once placed in the bath, dissolving slowly to create the appearance of what looks to me like buried treasure.

A jewel in a pirate’s treasure chest, I love how Golden Slumbers glistens as it dissolves.

The scent of this product wasn’t anything major – a typical LUSH bathy scent (sorry, I’m still learning when it comes to scent descriptions), once in the bath I couldn’t smell anything. I wasn’t too fussed about this as sometimes it’s nice to have a bath without feeling overpowered by scents.

Once the bath bomb had dissolved completely I was left to bathe in a glitter paradise, the water turned shades of red, orange and yellow until finally settling into a beautiful gold hue (not surprising I guess, when you consider the products name) and the stunning sparkles glistened here, there and everywhere.

Golden Slumbers is the perfect name for this bath bomb. My bath water was so shimmery and glittery, I could see the sparkles deep in the water and not just on the surface.

Some reviews I’ve read previously about Golden Slumbers have had people complaining that it stains their bathtub yellow once the water is drained, however I didn’t find this to be too much of an issue for me. After using this bath bomb there was a slight yellow tint to my bathtub for about one night, until I showered the next day and it had washed away without even needing to be scrubbed. It definitely didn’t stain my bath!!

I will definitely be purchasing Golden Slumbers again, the colours and the shimmers are so beautiful and enchanting there’s no way I could resist buying another.

If you love glitter and all things sparkly, you will love Golden Slumbers.

Golden Slumbers retails at £4.25 and can be purchased from the LUSH Oxford Street store or online.

Oops I Did It Again… (Another LUSH Haul).

So someone may have gone a little bit mad in Lush again…

That someone being me! Call me obsessed, I’m guilty as charged but I just can’t help myself, it’s impossible not to leave Lush without breaking the bank a little bit and my latest visit was no different.

I went into store for one item, came out with six. What’s new?

It seems I’m all about the bubble bars at the moment as I bought four, two of which being the beautiful Unicorn Horn. I picked up two of these as being part of the Valentine’s Day collection, they’ll soon be unavailable to buy. In all honesty I could have bought way more than two of these to keep me stocked up for the rest of the year, but thankfully for my bank balance Emily managed to stop me.

I’ve seen lots of pictures and videos of the Ladybug bubble bar online so when I saw them in store I knew I had to have one. This little bubble bar is designed to look like a ladybird (obvs) and is the cutest little thing I ever did see. Ladybirds are probably the prettiest insects out there and I’m loving the red and purple colours of this product! I’ve never used this bubble bar before and as it’s part of the Valentine’s Day collection I’m going to attempt to savour it a little while, but I don’t know how long I’ll be able to wait before I use it because I’m really excited to.

The Comforter is the last of my bubble bar purchases and oh my goodness I am too excited to use this. Again, this is another product I’ve never used before but one I’ve heard such good things about. I’m surprised it’s taken me this long to finally get round to buying one as I believe it’s quite a classic / popular product. The big selling point for me with The Comforter is the gorgeous blackcurrant scent, I have heart eyes right now just thinking about it (I’m also feeling kinda thirsty for ribena now too).

Onto bath bombs now, I found a real gem called Ups-A-Daisy, a bright and vibrant flower shaped (or¬†cog shaped product if you choose to look at it that way ha ha)¬†product which makes¬†me feel cheerful just by looking at it. This is part of the Mothers Day collection and I’m really looking forward to using this one because it looks so fun yet calming.

The last product I treated myself to is the Over and Over bath bomb. This is a take it or leave it kind of product for me, I like the brightness of it but it doesn’t excite me so much as some of the others do however when I saw it in store I thought, hey why not give it a go? Maybe it will surprise me and end up being one of my favourites, we’ll soon find out.

I am so happy with all my new Lush products and really excited to use them. I think overall the product I’m most excited for is the Ladybug bubble bar, it’s so cute and looks like it will make for the loveliest bath. Of course I am loving my Unicorn Horns too, as they are the bubbliest of bubble bars ever!!

Have you ever tried any of the products featured in this haul? What’s your favourite Lush bubble bar? Let me know in the comments!

Shopaholic Sunday / Burberry, ASOS, Smashbox + More.

As a self confessed shopaholic, I’ve decided to start a new series here on the blog called ‘Shopaholic Sunday’, where on the last Sunday of every month I do a massive haul of all my favourite items I picked up that month.

We’re coming to the end of Feb now, so today I will be sharing with you all my favourite things I have purchased this month and there have been quiteeee a few.

Starting with my Burberry boots, which I kind of shouldn’t include because technically I bought these in January but I’m going to include them anyway because hello?! Burberry! I had my eye on the flat version of these boots for literally months before finally taking the plunge and heading to a Burberry store to purchase them, however when I tried them on I wasn’t so keen. Then I saw the heeled ones,¬†which are the ones I ended up buying, as once I’d tried them on and had a walk about in them I was in love!! These are the perfect boots and are probably now the nicest shoes I own!! These boots can be paired with everything, from leggings to skirts to pretty little dresses, I virtually live in these boots now. Decorated with the classic Burberry pattern, I feel so amazing every time I wear them! I couldn’t be happier and I’m so pleased I decided to buy these.

imageNow onto what I bought this month…

I picked up quite a few clothing pieces this month, including a gorgeous black¬†pleather skirt with floral pattern from Zara, a beaut simple black playsuit with pom pom detail from ASOS and my personal favourite – a gorgeous golden velvet floaty crop top from ASOS, when I wear this I feel like Belle from Beauty and the Beast, it’s so beautiful! It’s funny because this top is one I ordered randomly and wasn’t overly excited about purchasing, a take it or leave it kind of thing, but now I’ve got it I’m in love and want to wear it every day.

I love skincare, so this month I made sure to pick up lots of new products to try including the L’Oreal Pure Clay Purity Wash and Detox Wash, a L’Oreal Triple Active day cream and a NO7 Beautiful Skin night cream. I’m going to do a skincare routine post soon featuring these products so I won’t ramble on too much about them, but I am really pleased with all of these skincare products.

This month I finally bought the ‘Ablaze‘ eyeshadow palette from Smashbox which is one I’ve had my eye on since it came out. This is now probably the coolest eyeshadow palette I own. The shades included are the best for a dramatic, smoky, fiery look including a gorgeous bold red and a pretty golden orange.

I also bought a new lipstick from Max Factor in the shade ‘Blush‘, this lipstick is from Max Factor’s new full matte range and I’m in love. Blush is a gorgeous deep yet bright pink shade and really brightens up my face when I wear it. Not only is the colour of this lipstick so nice, but the texture is lush too, being a full matte but still moisturising. What more could a gal want?

Now it wouldn’t be a haul without some Lush products thrown in would it? As always, I spent a small fortune on Lush products this month and again, there will be a seperate haul on all the Lush goodies I bought coming soon so I’m just going to share a picture here of the two Unicorn Horn bubble bars I purchased! You’ll have to keep a look out for my next haul to see what else I got. ūüėČ

image.jpegOnto books – I bought two books this month! The first one being ‘The Wish List’ by Jane Costello, one of my favourite authors. I’ve already finished this book because I enjoyed it so much I couldn’t put it down, I was reading it before bed and whilst on my lunch breaks at work!

I also picked up a copy of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, as I really want to read more classics and be a proper literature buff. I have actually started reading this book before through an app on my phone, but I’d always get a couple of chapters in then have to delete the app due to low storage space (lol). I prefer hard back copies of books to ebooks anyway, so I’m pleased to finally have a proper copy of this story and I am so excited to read it, I have a feeling it’s going to be a good’un.

I bought some amazing things this month and I am so happy with all my purchases. I am just loving all my new clothes, my wardrobe is on fleek right now. Obviously the Burberry boots have to be my favourite purchase of them all, but really I’m a lucky gal and happy with everything!

What bits and pieces have you treated yourselves too this month? What’s your favourite item from this haul? Let me know in the comments below.

LUSH Lover Lamp Bath Bomb Review.

Lover Lamp is an absolute beaut of a bath bomb, pure and simple.

Pretty, spherical and decorated with three gorgeous heart shaped bath melts, Lover Lamp to me is the Valentine’s Day version of my favourite¬†Shoot For The Stars bath bomb.

A simple, subtle and gorgeous design, Lover Lamp at first glance is very pleasing to the eye and it just gets better and better once placed in the water.

As soon as Lover Lamp is placed in the bath, it starts fizzing away excitedly, immediately turning the water a beautiful shade of milky white and releasing lot’s of pretty red confetti pieces. Whilst the bath bomb fizzes away, the three red heart bath melts break away from the bomb to¬†float around the tub, creating a soft and silky feel to the water.

The hearts are my favourite feature of this bath bomb, as they look so beautiful floating around the water and they don’t melt away too quickly, so you get plenty of time to admire them before they disappear completely.

Lover Lamp creates the feeling that you are bathing in pure, relaxing bliss. So simple yet so perfect, if you can capture the feeling of blissful love in a bath bomb then this one does it perfectly.

I absolutely love the Lover Lamp bath bomb and I would have to say¬†it’s my favourite product from Lush’s Valentine’s Day collection so far, I will definitely be heading back into¬†store to pick up a couple more before they’re all gone because I need this bath bomb in my life for as long as possible. I can’t wait another year to use it again!

Lover Lamp¬†is the perfect bath bomb for Valentine’s Day and if you’re treating yourself or buying it for someone as a gift, this is the dreamiest, loveliest¬†product and a must for anyone who wants to feel all the romantic feels.

You can purchase Lover Lamp in store or on the Lush website for £4.25.

Have you used Lover Lamp before? What are you thoughts on this beautiful bath bomb?
