Shopaholic Sunday | Moana, Urban Decay, St Tropez

!Hola Amigos!

Although I’ve been doing really well with saving my money these past couple of months, I haven’t allowed that to completely stop me from treating myself a little here and there (who am I kidding when I say ‘a little’, we all know I’ve treated myself a lot). It’s been a while since my last haul, but today it’s finally time to share with you all the amazing bits and bobs I’ve purchased these past couple of months.

There’s a lot of variety in this post as I’ve bought quite a few different things recently from cosmetics to DVDs to accessories.

The first couple of things I have bought recently are two DVDs, the first one being Moana which I just had to purchase as soon as it came out. I didn’t get to see it at the cinema and I’d been waiting ages for it to be released on DVD, now I’m so glad I’ve finally seen it. I love everything about Moana, the storyline is inspiring and powerful and I love how brave and independent of a character Moana is. Of course the beautiful island settings definitely add to the films appeal, not to mention the incredible sound track which I love to listen to in the morning to put me in an upbeat, positive, Summery mood. Moana is a 10/10 movie and up there as one of my favourite Disney films!

Shopping in HMV for Moana, I only intended to buy the one film but whilst I was there I spotted another DVD I just had to purchase – Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. Oh my God, I saw this film at the cinema last year and it literally had me in tears crying of laughter. Mike & Dave is such a funny film and the perfect movie for girls night, of course it helps too that Zac Efron plays one of the lead characters. Isn’t he gorge?

Back to Moana, I made sure to treat myself to this amazing Moana phone case which I discovered whilst having a little mooch in the Disney Store. Isn’t it the best phone case ever? Every time I pick my phone up now I feel so happy and positive. I can’t wait to use this phone case when I go to Disney Land next month, it’s perfect.

Moving on to accessories and beauty, anyone who knows me will know I love a good choker and in my opinion, Boots sell some of the best ones. I spotted this gorgeous tan colour choker in one of my local stores when browsing with my friend Hannah recently and even though I wasn’t intending to buy anything that day I just couldn’t resist. Isn’t it gorgeous? It goes so well with my beautiful floral playsuits and I think it’s the perfect choker for a Summers day.

How good is the price?? Only £5 for such a good quality, pretty choker.
Rocking the tan choker and floral playsuit look!

A few weeks ago I had to go to Debenhams to pay off the last instalment of my holiday (finally, YAY) and when there I found myself a little distracted by the make up counters, which I’m sure comes as no surprise. Urban Decay was specifically the brand which caught my eye, as I was after a navy blue lipstick for Electroland next month and if anyone would have one it’d be them and I wasn’t disappointed. I found exactly what I was looking for in the Vice range, a lipstick in the shade ‘Heroine’, a gorgeous solid navy blue matte which is just perfect for me and although being a more ‘out there’ colour is still super wearable. I didn’t stop at the lippy though, as whilst browsing the lip products a beautiful sparkly blue gloss in the shade ‘Ritual’ caught my eye which I thought would go perfectly with Heroine, so of course I had to pick one up. This gloss is long wearing and water resistant too which is an added bonus and I’m really looking forward to wearing these lip products together when I go to Electroland.

Thinking I was done with my Urban Decay spree, I was all ready to pay when I thought a harmless look at the eyeshadows wouldn’t be a bad idea and that’s when I saw it… the MOONDUST palette. Oh my word, I knew as soon as I saw this it would have to be mine. It’s the most beautiful, sparkly, magical eyeshadow palette I’ve ever seen and it goes perfectly with my Ritual gloss. The quality of the Moondust palette is incredible, from the first time I used it I was so impressed as the shades are all so pigmented with incredible colour pay off, and so sparkly too. This palette has such a great variety of colours, with the more neutral shades being ‘Specter’, ‘Granite’ and ‘Lithium’, ‘Specter’ also making for the most magical of highlighters – think Unicorn style. The brighter, bolder shades are found in the aptly named ‘Lightyear’ a colour pretty much the same as the actual Buzz Lightyear, the wonderfully electric ‘Vega’ and the pretty purple ‘Magnetic’. The shades ‘Element’ and ‘Galaxy’ are not to be forgotten either as they are both such gorgeous, strong shades which are perfect for a smokey eye blend, ‘Element’ working well with ‘Specter’ for a pretty in pink look and ‘Magnetic’ being the ultimate intense smokey eye shade.

Lastly, my most recent purchases include the St Tropez In Shower Gradual Tan in the shade Medium and I bought three as they were on offer in Boots. I’ve never been one for fake tan as I’ve always feared I’d mess it up and it would go patchy, but oh my goodness this stuff has completely transformed my life. This tan is honestly the easiest tan to use ever, I don’t even exfoliate before I apply it and it finishes so well. To use this tan, all you have to do is simply get in the shower, massage the lotion on to wet skin and wait for a few minutes before rinsing off. More often than not I leave the tan on for about 10 minutes before washing off as I find it develops quicker that way, by doing this I’m literally glowing like a bronze Goddess within just a couple of days. I’m so impressed with this St Tropez tan and I would highly recommend it, especially to those who are maybe a bit more apprehensive when it comes to ‘fake bake’ as it’s just so simple, quick and easy to use and leaves skin looking naturally gorgeous and bronzed.

I am so happy with the fabulous purchases I’ve made these past couple of months, my favourite items definitely have to be my Urban Decay Moondust Palette, my Moana phone case and of course my amazing St Tropez In Shower Gradual Tan.

What have you treated yourself to lately? Have you ever used any of the products I’ve mentioned above? Let me know in the comments below.

Amsterdam Haul. 🇳🇱👜

Hello all!

I have just returned home from a brilliant long weekend away in Amsterdam where I had the best time with my best friend Emily.

I will be doing more in depth posts about my weekend away but for now I will be sharing with you all the goodies I bought whilst in Amsterdam. I absolutely love shopping and this place is a spenders dream… Amsterdam has every shop you could possibly wish for from Chanel, Cartier, Urban Outfitters, ABH cosmetics, Burberry cosmetics, Pandora, Victoria’s Secret, about 1000 H&M’s and even a Waterstones, the list is endless.

Although I have to be honest a lot of things actually worked out cheaper to buy in the UK, for example in one store YSL’s Touche Eclat concealer was €39 whereas here in England it’s only £25. That’s a huge difference and with the exchange rate being so poor at the moment (thanks Brexit), it’s not very good at all.

Regardless, I made sure to treat myself to lot’s of Amsterdam exclusive goodies whilst there…

I knew before even arriving in ‘Dam that I wanted to get a Bike Charm from Pandora to symbolise the trip as the city pretty much has more bikes than people, there are bikes everywhere. When I went into Pandora I was in for a real treat as not only did they have the most beautiful Holland exclusive set of charms, including a pretty windmill, a bright orange charm and of course the dangly bicycle, but all the charms were on offer for 3 for 2. Such a bargain!!

I bought more jewellery at the Hard Rock Cafe gift shop, where I picked up the most awesome pair of jazzy guitar earrings. They are dangly and sparkly and I think they are so cool. I can’t wait to wear them.

Rock On 🤘🏼🎸

Some of my favourite purchases are the souvenirs I picked up from the Anne Frank House, which is one of the most incredible places I have ever visited, a truly thought-provoking experience, I admit I shed a few tears. From here I picked up a copy of Anne Frank’s diary. I’ve never read Anne Frank’s diary before and I thought it would be amazing to read a copy I bought from the actual place the original was written.

I also bought some postcards from the Anne Frank house, they are great souvenirs and remind me that Anne was just a normal girl like me, and that her story along with many others is truly remarkable.

My favourite postcard of Anne’s father, Otto Frank, revisiting the house years after the war. I find this photo so amazing, as it captures such an incredible moment in time. To think of the emotions Otto Frank was feeling as this picture was taken, there are no words, just wow.

Along with all these amazing purchases I bought the typical souvenirs one gets when visiting a new place. I collect shot glasses so I picked up 3 to add to my collection, although only two actually made it home in one piece. I bought a Red Light District postcard and a Red Light District magnet, both of which I have stuck on my fridge so I’m sure my parents will be very impressed. Ha ha ha.

I am so happy with all my wonderful purchases from Amsterdam. I love them ALL!!!

I think my favourite things I bought have got to be my Pandora charms and the souvenirs from Anne Franks house.

What did you like the best? Let me know in the comments below!

Thankyou so much for reading!

With love, Jennie. ❤️💙🇳🇱 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

HUGE Max Factor Makeup haul. 💅🏼👄💄💋

Hello everyone, how are you all today? If you’ve been following me for a while you will know that cosmetic hauls are very regular here on my blog, I just love makeup. Today’s haul is a HUGE Max Factor makeup haul, as I bought lot’s and lot’s of MF makeup recently in preparation for my holiday tomorrow (Eek)!

I love Max Factor makeup, and I decided to make the most of the 3 4 2 offer they had on in Boots. I’m just going to jump right into the haul and tell you all about the products I have bought.

Smooth Miracle Primer.

This is Max Factor’s newest primer, which is designed to really smooth the texture of skin and keep it hyrdated, so it’s perfect for those of us with dryer skin types. I have tried this primer out on my hand and it feels lovely and refreshing but I have yet to actually wear it as a base for my makeup, I’m so excited to try it.

Skin Luminizer Miracle Foundation – Shade Natural 50.

This is another product I have yet to actually try out and wear, but I decided to purchase it because it’s a light coverage foundation designed to give skin a healthy glow. As I am going on holiday I really wanted a foundation which was going to give me a nice natural dewy finish, which I believe this foundation will be perfect for.

Mastertouch All Day Concealer shade Fair 306.

This is a concealer which is ideal for touching up makeup throughout the day. It’s a light – medium consistency and covers blemishes well, however I haven’t really worn this a lot as I think the shade is slightly too dark for me. I call myself a MUA yet still manage to pick the wrong shade of concealer for myself, oops.

Creme Puff Blush shade 10 Nude Mauve.

This is a gorgeous baked powder blush with a mix of lighter nude pink tones and deeper mauve shades. I absolutely love it and have worn it every day since purchasing. It’s very natural and leaves skin with a really nice glow to it.

Creme Puff Blush shade 25 Alluring Rose.

Another gorgeous baked powder blush, I really like this because it can also be used as a bronzer. ‘Alluring Rose’ is a mix of darker pink shades and bronzed goldes with a hint of sparkle, perfect for that glowing Summer look.

Masterpiece Nude Palette Contouring Eyeshadows shade 02 Golden Nudes.

This eyeshadow palette is so pretty, with a range of 8 colours including lighter creme, brown and golden shades and deeper bronze, greens and blacks. This palette has the perfect range of colours suited to create day looks, evening looks, whatever look you want. The lighter gold and creme shades can also be used for highlighting, or you can use the darker shades to line your eyes for a softer finish.

Lipgloss shade 10 Pristine Nude.

This is a very very subtle pink shade of gloss and is good for those natural no makeup-makeup days, this is also nice to wear over a matte lipstick to give it a glossed finish.

Colour Elixir Lip Liner shade 14 Brown N Nude.

I just love this lipliner so so much, I’ve just finished my first one so I had to buy myself another. I actually wear this liner all over as a lipstick and it’s the perfect nude for me. It’s a lovely smooth texture, lasts for hours and is a full matte finish. Max Factors Brown N Nude is definitely one of my go to lip products and I can see it being a staple in my makeup collection for a long time to come.

Gel Shine Lacquer Nail Polish shade 20 Vivid Vermillion.

This is an orange coloured gel finish nail polish and I’ve just painted my nails with it for the first time. I love Max Factor’s Gel Shine polishes and this colour is perfect for the Summer. It’s not as bright as I thought it was going to be, it has more of a deep red undertone so I would describe this colour as a blood orange.

So there you have a round up of all the wonderful Max Factor products I bought. I am so excited to wear these whilst on holiday, especially the foundation and Alluring Rose bronzer.

Do you use any of these products? What’s your favourite Max Factor makeup?

Thankyou for reading, love Jennie. ❤️✖️ xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
