These Are A Few Of My Favourite Films

“Everything I learned I learned from the movies” Audrey Hepburn.

I just love movies.

One of my favourite things to do¬†is sit at home of an evening, with my blanket wrapped around me, maybe with a mug of hot chocolate and some snacks, watching a good ol’ movie with my parents, family, friends or even just myself.

Movie nights are some of my favourite nights.

I love sitting at home with my parents and settling down to watch a new film together, or showing them one I’ve previously seen before and think they would enjoy. I love going to my friends house (usually Chantal’s aka the hostess with the mostess)¬†for girlie nights in with takeaway and films. I love going to the cinema with Emily and Chantal, making the most out of our Cineworld Unlimited Cards and watching all the films that are new out, from horror to romance to sci fi to comedy.

My favourite genre of film is definitely rom-com but I tend to get on with most types. My favourite films of this year so far are Get Out, 50 Shades Darker, Beauty And The Beast and Baywatch.

As a film lover I have many favourite films and although the ones listed above are my favourites of 2017 (so far) today I will be sharing with you a list of my favourite movies of all time.

This list is in no particular order, as I love all the films equally and I just couldn’t rank them from top to bottom. That would be a job harder than running for Prime Minister!

So without further ado, these are a few of my favourite films…

Cinderella (2015)

I’m contradicting myself here because I said I couldn’t rank my favourite films in order but I do have to say that Cinderella probably does take the top spot for me, this film would definitely be in my top 3. I love this film purely because I find it so inspiring and is there anyone¬†so sweet and pure as Ella? I aspire to be more and more like her everyday, she is¬†an amazing¬†role model with her lovely, genuinely kind personality.¬†I wish to be more like Ella and¬†I like to spend some mornings watching Cinderella clips to give me some inspiration for the day ahead. I think the world would be a better place if we were all a little more like Ella. I love this film because its so magical and romantic, with a wonderful moral to the story to always ‘have courage and be kind’. This movie also holds fond memories for me as I saw it first at the cinema with my sister Zo√ę and it was a really lovely day for us and for her birthday last year, I bought Zo√ę a bangle engraved with the quote ‘have courage and be kind’, she loved it.

untitledThe Holiday (2006)

Isn’t The Holiday just the most romantic, heart-warming film ever?¬†From the first time I saw this film, I instantly fell in love especially because my favourite actress Cameron Diaz plays the lead role of Amanda! I love all films Cameron Diaz is in but this is probably my favourite because I just love the romance factor. The relationship between Amanda and Graham has me feeling all the feels, they are so sweet together. I never actually realised when I first watched this film that its considered a Christmas film and the fact that it is makes it even more magical. The Holiday is the perfect feel good romantic comedy which will make you feel all warm and fluttery inside.

Moana (2016)

MOANA, make way, make way! Obviously Moana immediately ranks high up in my estimations because its a Disney film and with so much to love about it, of course its one of my favourite movies. Lets start with the fact the setting of the movie is just so beautiful, tropical and dreamy. Like Cinderella, the character of Moana is also very inspirational. She is brave, courageous, determined and filled with passion to fight for what she believes in. I think as a character she is definitely a great role model and she inspires me to be a little more bold and a little more fearless in the pursuit of following my passions. One of my favourite¬†things about the film¬†Moana is the soundtrack, because its so feel good and Summery and¬†makes me feel happy every time I listen. Overall the storyline of the film is brilliant with an abundance of adventure as Moana sets out on her journey to return Island Goddess Te Feti’s heart, encountering funny characters such as the Demi God Maui and the hilarious ‘I’d rather be shiny’ Tamatoa on her way, facing and overcoming struggles as she travels. This film is entertaining and joyous to watch from start to finish and I would highly recommend.

Starstruck (2010)

Starstruck-2010-film-images-f764accb-af7e-47ee-aa3d-67c861e172dI will never forget the first time I saw the trailer for Starstruck during the ad breaks on the Disney Channel, I knew instantly it would be a film I was going to love and to this day I love it just as much as I did when it first came out. Set in¬†sunny California this film gives me all the Summer vibes and just like Moana, makes me feel so positive and happy whenever I watch it. This film always reminds me of my holiday to LA¬†and has me longing to go back whenever¬†I watch it.¬†I love this film because its¬†sweet and fun and I think Jess’ relationship with pop sensation Christopher Wilde is too cute,¬†the scene where he turns¬†up at her prom after they¬†argued has me feeling all the feels. So adorable!! This film¬†makes me feel so nostalgic and takes me¬†back to my teen years, I feel so happy whenever I watch it.

Pretty Woman (1990)

untitled.pngPretty Woman is such an iconic film and I could watch it over and over again, enjoying it just as much every time. Everything about this film is perfection. Julia Roberts portrays the character of Vivian so well and I love how much depth there is to her character with a sassy, confident, couldn’t care less exterior, like an onion Vivian has so many layers to her which are revealed throughout the movie as you discover her vulnerable, sweet and playful side whilst she always remains her fierce self. One of her best scenes is when she returns to a store she previously got rejected from and rubs it in their faces how much she would have spent if they’d allowed her to shop there. Vivian, you go girl!

Pretty Woman is the perfect romantic comedy, being funny and witty whilst still being charming and romantic. Its a classic, iconic film which I believe everyone should see at least once in their life time. Its a 10/10 movie in my opinion and again, I know I said I couldn’t rank them but its 100% tied with Cinderella as being up there as my top favourite film.

Walking On Sunshine (2014)

o-walking-on-sunshine-facebook.jpgI’m Walking On Sunshine, woooah, don’t it feel¬†good! This film¬†is just everything, such a¬†vibrant, feel good romance film set in the¬†very beautiful Italy,¬†this film makes me feel so happy and¬†Summery. I’m a sucker for a good romance and this film really delivers in my opinion, the storyline is magical and I love the forbidden romance factor, with two lovers having to deny their feelings until finally reuniting and the soundtrack is just so upbeat and positive. 80’s music is always a winner for me so the musical element of this film really crowns it as one of my favourites.

There are so many amazing films which I love a lot, I could go on and on forever writing a whole essay on my favourite films so before I ramble on for too long, I must give a quick special mention to these movies too:

The House Bunny

Angus Thongs & Perfect Snogging

Wild Child

Definitely, Maybe

Letters To Juliet

and CUT! That’s a wrap, there you have an extensive list of all my favourite movies!

Have you seen any of my favourite films? What’s your favourite movie? Let me know in the comments below.

Thank you all for reading, I hope everyone enjoyed this post.

Lots of love,

Weekly Fitness | Not A lot To Report

This week has been pretty similar to last week in terms of health and fitness, I’ve eaten relatively well…ish, although maybe not as good as last week and again I haven’t gone to the gym at all. Ah God, I miss the gym! I seriously can’t wait for payday next week so I can get back on it, it can’t come soon enough. Although I have exercised more this week than I did the last, as my sister Zo√ę has introduced me to the wonderful world of HIIT.

HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training and it’s pretty fantastic. With HIIT, you follow a pattern such as 30 seconds intense exercise followed by a 15 second rest interval, usually¬†repeating this¬†for around twenty minutes but of course you can do it for however long you want. I use this fantastic YouTube video for my HIIT exercising as it plays really intense music for the 30 seconds you work out and during the 15 second breaks the narrator inspires you with positive and motivating quotes such as ‘the secret of getting ahead is getting started’. I usually do around twenty reps (20 sets of 30 second exercises) and I vary my exercises accordingly. Sometimes I focus on arms, sometimes on legs, sometimes on abs and sometimes all over. I love to do Russian Twists, bicycle, donkey kicks and star jumps. They are probably my favourite exercises! This week I have done a couple of amazing HIIT workouts and as I get back to the gym next week I fully intend to continue HIIT at home in the mornings before work. On my days off I am aiming to do half an hour of HIIT at home and I can’t wait to fully get into a routine of HIIT and gym. It will be good!

I haven’t eaten so well this week as I had three cheat days on Sunday, Monday and Friday and my real downfall has been snacking at work. People have been bringing in cakes, biscuits and sweets and out of nothing but boredom, I’ve caved in and scoffed my face. Not good! I need to focus on just having my main three meals a day, potentially a tiny treat if I fancy it but less snacking! As I write this post I feel more motivated to really crack on and not give into the temptation of treats, I don’t even always enjoy them so much. But you live and learn and going forward I’m definitely going to keep focused and only eat when I’m hungry. I won’t deprive myself of anything but I’m certainly going to stop eating out of boredom and only have a treat if I really fancy it, not for the sake of it.

Overall I’ve not really got much to report this week. I’ve been loving my HIIT training and would highly recommend, I’ve eaten more than I wish I had and I’m buzzing to get back to the gym. Roll on next week!

What have you done this week to keep fit? Let me know in the comments below.

10 Years From Now | 52 Week Blog Challenge

Ten years from now…

Hello everyone!

Today it’s time for Jenny & Britt’s 52 Week Blog Challenge and this weeks topic is 10 years from now. How exciting!

Ten years from now I’m going to be 32 years old and if that isn’t a scary thought to have I don’t know what is! Some say your 30’s are the best years of your life, so I guess that must mean I have a lot to look forward to.

Obviously at the age of 32, I hope to be successful and to have achieved most, if not all of my current life goals. I want to have a career, ideally working for myself with my own business and brand.

I would love to have made a career out of blogging and social media, focusing mainly around travel but also incorporating elements of beauty and makeup into the equation.

As I’m currently working as a Beauty Consultant for Max Factor, a job which I love, I would love¬†to have my own exclusive cosmetics range with the brand – think ‘Jennie For Max Factor’ type of vibes.

I would also love my career to incorporate elements of the Law Of Attraction and be somewhat of a lifestyle coach, as I love spreading positivity, inspiring people and helping people to live the best life they can. I can definitely achieve this as I can focus a lot of my blog posts around the Law Of Attraction, go from there and see what doors the Universe opens up for me.

I hope by the time I am 32 I will be even better travelled than I am now, ideally adding another 30 countries to the list of places I have already visited which would be quite incredible. That’s three new places a year, so very achievable as this year I’ll already be adding another 3, possibly 4 to my list. I especially would have hoped to have visited more of Europe by the time I am 32, including Iceland, Denmark, Venice, the Lake District, Dover, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. South America is another place I’d¬†love to explore a little more of in the next 10 years.

By the time I am 32 I of course want to be a property owner, ideally owning a home in St George’s Hill (I’m nothing if not ambitious). Getting onto the property ladder can be hard and I know that nowadays the average age of a first time buyer in the UK is 30 years old which is shocking, but I for one am striving to own my own home long before I’m 30.

Whilst I’m not 100% sure if I want children or not, I definitely want to be married by the time I am 32. I can’t wait to meet my soulmate, fall in love and get married and I definitely want my first marriage to be my only marriage (as I’m sure 99.9% of people do). I hope to be married around the age of 27/28, but who knows what the future holds? It’s pretty crazy to think about myself even being 27, let alone getting married to someone who I most likely don’t even know exists right now.

I hope that at the age of 32 I am still friends with all the wonderful people I am friends with now and that we will still be having the best of adventures together. I hope that Emily, Chantal, Daisy and I are even closer than we are now, with an abundance of wonderful memories to look back on and a friendship so strong it will last a lifetime.

My family mean the world to me, so of course at the age of 32 I hope that my bond with my parents and sister is as strong as ever, and I hope that in the next 10 years we have many happy times together and may all of us achieve our goals. I wish happiness, health, love and wealth for my family during the next ten years and for many more after.

I hope to be financially secure by the time I am 32 and to have an abundance of money I can spend freely as I choose. I would love to be doing more for charity, helping others and making a positive difference to peoples lives.

Most importantly by the time I’m 32 I hope to be blissfully happy, to have inner peace and to be completely, 100% in love with my life.

with that being said,

I’m going to hit publish on this post,

let the Universe do it’s thing,

and check back on this in 10 years time to see exactly how my life turned out.

Where do you see yourselves in 10 years time? Let me know in the comments below!

Thank you all for reading,

Weekend Highlights | Oh Sunny Days

Sun shining with temperatures up to 31 degrees, it’s safe to say that this weekend has been an absolute scorcher and I’ve fully taken on the title of ‘sun worshiper’, spending most of my time this weekend out in the garden,¬†bikini¬†clad¬†working on my tan.

Luck well and truly was on my side this weekend as it happened to be my weekend off, so I’ve been able to make the most of the sun these past three days and sunbathe allll day, erryday.

On Saturday I spent most of the day in the garden, tanning and reading my book before my sister came round and we spent some time together. Then it was time to head out for my best friend Daisy’s birthday celebrations and I met her at her work so we could go back to her house together as she lives a little while away. It was pretty amusing meeting her¬†by her work¬†because she was¬†in her uniform¬†and I was all dolled up in my out out outfit- heels, playsuit, hoops and all. People must have been looking at me thinking why is she so dressed up here?

No photos from the night, just selfies!

Anyway, we headed back to Daisy’s and chilled out together waiting for the rest of the group to arrive. As it was such a lovely evening we thought it would be nice to have pre drinks outside so we brought down Daisy’s speakers, put on some music and¬†played drinking games until it was time to go out around 10.

The night out itself was a fun one, if not a little messy and we danced to Blazin Squad, Conor Maynard and Little Mix. I’ve been watching Love Island this year and Marcel has really got me feeling the Blazin Squad vibes, so of course I had to request Crossroads and Flip Reverse It. Guys, if you don’t know who Blazin Squad are, YouTube them!!!

The night ended on a high as obviously I got myself a large cheese and tomato pizza (conclusion to last weeks Weekly Fitness¬†post is I wasn’t able to resist) and we strolled home happily, being a little crazy at times and having giggles and banter.

Emily, Chantal and I stayed at Daisy’s that night and we woke up the next morning to even more beautiful sunshine, so we spent a lovely few hours together outside in the garden¬†laughing, talking and playing UNO!¬†I’d never played a proper game of UNO before this and now I am loving it, this game was even better as it was SpongeBob Square pants themed. So brilliant, what a lovely time with my best girls!

The rest of the day was spent at home in my garden, celebrating Fathers Day with my family and as soon as I arrived home my sister and I went in and did a HIIT workout which was a struggle outside in the sunshine but so rewarding. My abs are hurting today and like they say no pain, no gain. I had so much fun exercising outside with my sister, she’s so motivating to work out with and I learn something new from her every time.

Time to relax after working out, the afternoon was spent sunbathing and I finally finished reading Pride & Prejudice, a really great book I enjoyed very much but in my opinion the ending was too abrupt. Has anyone else read it?? Thoughts/opinions would be welcome!

We had a BBQ dinner, with sausages and hot dogs and the day was made even more special as my Nan came over to see us. We had great conversations, danced, laughed, and enjoyed the sunshine together.

Days with my family fill me with so much happiness, I love them so much!

Today again was spent in the garden and I spent my time sunbathing, listening to music and reading. I’ve started reading The Diary Of A Young Girl, more commonly known as The Diary Of Anne Frank. I’ve never read it before but for a while it’s been on my list, especially after visiting the Anne Frank museum last year in Amsterdam. It’s such a thought provoking, insightful and heart breaking¬†diary¬†written by the truly inspiring young Anne Frank, God bless her and her family.

As I was reading my book, my Dad arrived home earlier than expected which always brings me joy and even better today as he brought home these:

Cadburys chocolate button ice creams!!! Oh my goodness, all the heart eyes. I’m seriously struggling right now not to give in to the temptation of having another. They are so delicious. I love Cadburys chocolate buttons and I love ice cream, so the two together is like a match made in Heaven for me. So good. I’m so excited to come home from work tomorrow and have another!

After devouring my ice cream my Dad and I went to the pub where I¬†bought him a couple of drinks¬†as a¬†Fathers Day treat.¬†Honestly I love my Dad so much, he deserves way more than just a drink or two and I hope as the days go on I can continue to do more and more for him…

After a while Mum joined us at the pub and we spent the evening chatting away, before soon it was time to walk home and watch the soaps.

Which leaves me here, I’m currently sat on the sofa watching Eastenders, patiently waiting for Love Island to come on.

This weekend has been so glorious and I’ve enjoyed spending time in the sun with my friends and family so much.

Here’s to the next sunny weekend!

How did you spend your weekend?? Let me know in the comments below. I hope everyone had a great one!

Shopaholic Sunday | Moana, Urban Decay, St Tropez

!Hola Amigos!

Although I’ve been doing really well with saving my money these past couple of months, I haven’t allowed that to completely stop me from treating myself a little here and there (who am I kidding when I say ‘a little’, we all know I’ve treated myself a lot). It’s been a while since my last haul, but today it’s finally time to share with you all the amazing bits and bobs I’ve purchased these past couple of months.

There’s a lot of variety in this post as I’ve bought quite a few different things recently from cosmetics to DVDs to accessories.

The first couple of things I have bought recently are two DVDs, the first one being Moana which I just had to purchase as soon as it came out. I didn’t get to see it at the cinema and I’d been waiting ages for it to be released on DVD, now I’m so glad I’ve finally seen it. I love everything about Moana, the storyline is inspiring and powerful and I love how brave and independent of a character Moana is. Of course the beautiful island settings definitely add to the films appeal, not to mention the incredible sound track which I love to listen to in the morning to put me in an upbeat, positive, Summery mood.¬†Moana is¬†a 10/10 movie and up there as one of my favourite Disney films!

Shopping¬†in HMV for Moana, I only intended to buy the one film¬†but whilst I was there I spotted another DVD I just had to purchase – Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. Oh my God, I saw this film at the cinema last year and it literally had me in tears crying of laughter. Mike & Dave is such a funny film and the perfect movie for girls night, of course it helps too that Zac Efron plays one of the lead characters. Isn’t he gorge?

Back to Moana, I made sure to treat myself to this amazing Moana phone case which I discovered whilst having a little mooch in the Disney Store. Isn’t it the best phone case ever? Every time I pick¬†my phone¬†up now¬†I feel so happy and positive. I can’t wait to use this phone case when I go to Disney Land next month, it’s perfect.

Moving on to accessories and beauty, anyone who knows me will know I love a good choker and in my opinion, Boots sell some of the best ones. I spotted this gorgeous tan colour choker in one of my local stores when browsing with my friend Hannah recently and even though I wasn’t intending to buy anything that day I just couldn’t resist. Isn’t it gorgeous? It goes so well with my beautiful floral playsuits and I think it’s the perfect choker for a Summers day.

How good is the price?? Only £5 for such a good quality, pretty choker.
Rocking the tan choker and floral playsuit look!

A few weeks ago I had to go to Debenhams to pay off the last instalment of my holiday (finally, YAY) and when there¬†I found myself a little distracted by the make up counters, which I’m sure comes as no surprise. Urban Decay was specifically¬†the brand which caught my eye, as I was after a navy blue lipstick for Electroland next month and¬†if anyone would have one it’d be them and I wasn’t disappointed. I found exactly what I was looking for in the Vice¬†range, a lipstick in the shade¬†‘Heroine’, a gorgeous solid navy blue matte¬†which is just perfect for me and although being a more ‘out there’ colour is still super wearable.¬†I didn’t stop¬†at the lippy though,¬†as whilst browsing the lip products a beautiful sparkly blue gloss in the shade ‘Ritual’ caught my eye which I thought would go perfectly with¬†Heroine, so of course I had to pick one up. This gloss is long wearing and water resistant too which is an added bonus and I’m really looking forward to wearing these lip products together when I go to Electroland.

Thinking I was done with my Urban Decay spree, I was all ready to pay when I thought a harmless look at the eyeshadows wouldn’t be a bad idea and that’s when I saw it… the MOONDUST palette. Oh my word, I knew as soon as I saw this it would have to be mine. It’s the most beautiful, sparkly, magical eyeshadow palette I’ve ever seen and it goes perfectly with my¬†Ritual gloss. The quality of the Moondust palette is incredible, from the first time I used it I was so impressed as the shades are all so pigmented with incredible colour pay off, and so sparkly too. This palette has such a great variety of colours, with the more neutral shades being ‘Specter’, ‘Granite’ and ‘Lithium’, ‘Specter’ also making for the most magical of highlighters – think Unicorn style. The brighter, bolder shades are found in the aptly named ‘Lightyear’ a colour pretty much the same as the actual Buzz Lightyear, the wonderfully electric ‘Vega’ and the pretty purple ‘Magnetic’. The shades ‘Element’ and ‘Galaxy’ are not to be forgotten either as they are both such gorgeous, strong shades which are perfect for a smokey eye blend, ‘Element’ working well with ‘Specter’ for a pretty in pink look and ‘Magnetic’ being the ultimate¬†intense smokey eye shade.

Lastly, my most recent purchases include the St Tropez¬†In Shower Gradual Tan¬†in the shade Medium and I bought three as they were on offer in Boots. I’ve never been one for fake tan as I’ve always feared I’d mess it up and it would go patchy, but oh my goodness this stuff has completely transformed my life. This tan is honestly the easiest tan to use¬†ever, I don’t even exfoliate before I apply it and it finishes so well. To use this tan, all you have to do is simply get in the shower, massage the lotion on to wet skin and wait for a few minutes¬†before rinsing off.¬†More often than not I leave the tan on for about 10 minutes before washing off as I find it develops quicker that way, by doing this I’m literally glowing like a bronze Goddess within just a couple of days. I’m so impressed with this St Tropez¬†tan¬†and I would highly recommend it, especially to those who are maybe a bit more apprehensive when it comes to ‘fake bake’ as it’s just so simple, quick and easy to use and leaves skin looking naturally gorgeous and bronzed.

I am so happy with the fabulous purchases I’ve¬†made these past couple of months, my favourite items definitely have to be my Urban Decay Moondust Palette, my Moana phone case and of course my amazing St Tropez In Shower Gradual Tan.

What have you treated yourself to lately? Have you ever used any of the products I’ve mentioned above? Let me know in the comments below.

Weekly Fitness | Healthy Eating

Hey everyone!

Wow, what a beautiful sunny day it is today, I’m laying out in my garden sunbathing whilst writing this blog post thinking this is the life. I could definitely get used to this and to say¬†this is making me so excited to go on holiday in August would be an understatement. Italy I’m ready for ya!

Of course as I’m sunbathing I’m laying out in my bikini and I’m¬†feeling soooo¬†good, the healthy eating and gym sessions are paying off and I’m finally starting to feel confident and happy with my body. I’m so happy. I have a little way to go to until I’m really where I want to be but I’m getting there and I’m so pleased with how much I’ve achieved so far.

This week I haven’t actually gone to the gym at all. I’ve wanted to, but I’ve had to save my taxi¬†money I’d have used for this week for next week instead, but I will definitely be going to the gym twice next week, doing 2x two hour sessions to make up for what I’ve missed. I’ve decided that from next week onwards I’m going to stay longer at the gym when I go, normally I go for¬†about just¬†over an hour but now I’m going to make sure I stay for at least an hour and a half but mostly aim for two hour sessions. I’m going to stick to my goal of going at least twice a week but I’m aiming to throw in an extra gym sesh every other week so sometimes I go three times. I’m really looking forward to getting on with this and going back to the gym next week, I’ve missed it so much (who’d have thought I’d ever say that hey?)!

Although I haven’t been to the gym at all this week I don’t feel bad about it as I’ve been eating really well plus I did an amazing 20 minute toning workout this morning which left me feeling so good afterwards. I’m happy.

This week my eating has been on point.¬†I had quite an unhealthy day on Sunday and the same on Monday, but since then I’ve literally done amazing and using my food journal has definitely helped so much. I’ve set calorie goals for each day right up until the end of this month and I’ve found this to be really helpful in keeping me motivated to eat clean and healthy. So far I’ve consumed around 100 less calories this week than I’ve given myself allowance for which is amazing and so far today I’ve eaten¬†clean, however I am off clubbing tonight so we’ll just see what happens this evening. You know what it’s like after a night out, food quickly becomes your best friend and with a pizza place right next to the club, I may find it a struggle to resist.

I’ve still had a couple of treats here and there and like I always go on about, I’ve made sure not to deprive myself of anything. I’ve snacked on my favourite kit Kats, Wotsits and Squares. When there have been times I’ve wanted an extra treat before dinner, even though I didn’t really need one, I’ve curbed my cravings by reaching for my favourite fruit banana rather than giving in to the temptation of chocolate and crisps which has been excellent, adding to my daily fruit intake and keeping my diet clean.

I am so proud of my eating choices this week, I really feel as if I’ve done so well and I’m really noticing positive changes to my body now.

I am so excited to see what the next week holds, I’ve a feeling it’s going to be even better than this one!

What’s your favourite healthy snack? Do you prefer working out at home or going to the gym? Let me know in the comments below.

Life’s A Rollercoaster | Thorpe Park 2017

“Just close your eyes and enjoy the rollercoaster that is life” Zayn Malik.

Last Monday I had the pleasure of spending the day at one of my favourite theme parks Thorpe Park, with my best friends Emily and Chantal, and it was one of my favourite days out of this year so far with fun all round as we enjoyed rollercoasters, KFC and a pit stop at Bicester Village on the way home.

Thorpe Park is¬†located in one of my favourite counties Surrey, (another bonus as to why it’s one of my favourite theme parks) and it’s just an hour¬†away from where the girls and I live. We¬†began our drive down to Thorpe Park at the early but not too early time of 8am, ready to arrive for when the park opened at 10am. We made it in good time so we stopped off at McDonalds first so Chantal could get some breakfast.

We had a bit of a dilemma as we arrived at¬†the park¬†as our tickets were scanning through on the machines as invalid, so we couldn’t get through the barriers. Thankfully our situation was resolved in minutes as the staff members helped us by manually scanning our tickets and letting us through the entrance.

As per usual our first ride of the day was Rush, a giant swing like ride which is terrifying yet fun. Chantal was¬†freaking out a little¬†before the ride started which made me feel more scared than I usually would, so whilst we were swinging back and forth up in the air I really couldn’t wait to be back safely on the ground.

Our second ride of the day was Colossus which is a ten loop rollercoaster¬†and I question why I go on it every time. For the whole duration of the ride¬†your head just bangs constantly on each side of the seat,¬†it’s so painful and I felt so sorry for my poor little head afterwards, it really took a bashing.¬†The rides not even so fun to make it worth the head bashing but still, I know I’ll probably go on it again when the girls and I next go to Thorpe Park.

Look at that loop.

My favourite ride of the day was definitely the rollercoaster SAW, which is obviously based on the film of the same name. SAW has always been one of my favourite rides at Thorpe Park as it’s just so exciting and thrilling, I love¬†everything about the ride, from the theme to the speed to the¬†twists, turns,¬†sudden drops and high climbs.¬†This ride has such an element of surprise as even though I’ve been on it¬†so many times the first drop always seems to come out of nowhere for me which¬†is so exciting. It’s so good that as¬†the ride comes to an end¬†I’m already buzzing to go on it again. Seriously I could spend¬†my whole¬†day on SAW, it’s such a fun ride.

The best rollercoaster ever!

Another favourite rollercoaster of mine is The Swarm although my experience wasn’t so great this time as I had to sit next to a complete random stranger and it was so awkward. Like how am I supposed to enjoy the ride fully with someone I don’t even know sat next to me?¬†It’s not really possible. Regardless,¬†the ride itself was amazing as ever as when you’re on The Swarm you literally feel like you’re flying, even though it’s pretty speedy and of course has the element of excitement all rollercoasters have, I find it a pretty relaxing and calm ride as you get to feel the cool breeze on your face and admire all the beautiful surrounding views of Surrey. I genuinely find it such¬†a peaceful ride and if I could have a replica in my garden to enjoy whenever I pleased I so would.

Pretty pretty views. Obvs I didn’t take this photo whilst on The Swarm – I’m not that skilled a photographer buuuuut this is the view on leaving Thorpe Park. So gorgeous.

One of my favourite things about the day was the fact that the¬†girls and¬†I went on a few rides we usually don’t¬†and Chantal and¬†I also experienced Derren Browns Ghost Train for the first time ever. I’m not going to lie, I was a little disappointed with the Ghost Train as I was expecting it to be a lot more scary and¬†interesting than it actually was.¬†I’m not in a rush to go¬†on it again as once you’ve done it once you don’t really need to a second time, but I would¬†definitely recommend it if you haven’t been on it before¬†so at¬†least you know what it’s like.

Emily and I also went on Depth Charge, a water slide style ride which I used to go on all the time as a kid and literally haven’t been on in years. I forgot how much of a fun ride it is and I would definitely go on this again, it’s one of those rides you could go on three times in a row and enjoy it equally every time. I’m so glad Emily and¬†I went on Depth Charge together!

Happy after Depth Charge.

The ride I was most nervous for was Stealth, as I haven’t been on it in absolute years and the last time I did I got my necklace caught in the overhead seat belt which was a little scary. I mean obviously I was fine but it was enough to put me off for a while. Stealth is also an incredibly fast ride, going from 0-80mph in just two seconds, so I have an irrational fear that my eyes are going to pop out of my head when it sets off. Silly and totally impossible I know but even so, I can’t help feeling a little concerned. It took a lot of encouragement from the girls to get me on this ride but legit I am so glad they persuaded me because I enjoyed it so much. It’s literally the quickest ride ever as it goes so so fast,¬†taking you up and over into an almost vertical drop and before you can so much as blink it’s¬†over, but my word is it exciting. We actually ended up going on it twice and our second¬†time on Stealth was our last ride of the day. Typically for me I got into¬†trouble when leaving the ride, as¬†rather than¬†buying the official ride photo of the girls and I,¬†I took a sneaky picture of the screen instead. The sales assistant demanded I delete the photo which¬†I did obediently¬†and to be honest it’s not so much the end of the world I had to as it wasn’t the most flattering photo of myself I’ve ever seen. I mean how could it be? I’m on a rollercoaster going 80mph, even a Victorias Secret model would struggle to look good in that situation.

The girls and I went on so many rides at Thorpe Park, we got through them all super¬†fast as the queue times were so short and the distance between rides isn’t far at all.¬†The park was open for 5 hours and in that time we managed to do everything we wanted to do, we even managed to do our favourite rides SAW, Stealth and Rush twice. What more could we ask for?

The girls and I left Thorpe Park feeling content as ever, having really enjoyed our day there. On the way home we decided to take a quick detour to Bicester Village, a designer shopping outlet with shops such as Burberry, Pandora and Ralph Lauren. Everything retails cheaper at Bicester Village and I was so impressed at the price of some of the Pandora charms with some being just ¬£10,¬†to call¬†it a bargain would be¬†the understatement of the century.¬†I didn’t buy anything as I’ve really been enjoying saving my money lately and wanted to keep at it, however I am so happy I got to experience the Village as I’d never been before but virtually everyone I know has! Now I can finally stop feeling left out! I’m definitely planning on going back to Bicester Village at some point to treat myself, a day there with the girls before Christmas would be perfect.

I really loved spending quality time with my best friends at Thorpe Park and I had one of my favourite days of the year so far with my favourite people at one of my favourite places. All of the favourites!!! I had so much fun at Thorpe Park and it was super cute to round up the day with a little venture to Bicester Village.

What a wonderful day!
