Hey babes – talk about what you love to bring about more of what you love – it’s a whole vibe, and today I felt inspired to share a little ‘these are a few of my favourite things’ featuring all things beautiful, things that I love, etc etc. This is a completely random post, there is no category to these ‘favourites’ other than that they are simply a few of my favourite things, so please, enjoy! I hope you gain some inspiration from this post, even if it’s just inspiring YOU to talk about what you love! Let’s raise our love vibrations together and be one with the love frequency, yeah yeah.
‘*this post contains trigger warnings and spoilers* – if you don’t want to read the review because of spoilers but you want to know whether I recommend this book or not then obviously trigger warnings in mind (dm me if you want more info about these if you don’t want to read the review ❤️) but yes, yes I do recommend this book! Loved it ❤️
Sharing a book review I’ve written for a ~potential~ ‘fave books I’ve read in 2021 so far’ blog post – if it comes it comes but for now – my review for legit one of my favourite books I’ve read this year! ❤️ – this review contains spoilers and a trigger warning ❤️❤️❤️
I absolutely loved this book, it’s one of my favourites that I have read in a long time. I’ve already bought the second and third instalment in the series (one has been ordered and the other has already arrived 😛) and I am so excited to delve deeper into the story. ‘Awakening’ is a sci-fi romance fantasy novel and it’s brilliant. I haven’t read a book like this in a long time and I’m so so pleased I decided to read this because I really enjoyed it. It’s got great sex scenes, all the romance, although it actually kind of gave me 50 shades of grey vibes a little the way the two main men, especially Gannon, looks out for Kira (the lead character), although not too much. The storyline and plot is great and super interesting, Kira is a likeable character and everything about it is just so good. TRIGGER WARNING – because this is a sci fi book, there are scenes that some may find distressing (lol I sound like a TV warning) – TRIGGER WARNING TO DISCUSS THE TRIGGERS – attack / loss of loved ones. Everything about this book is so good and I can’t wait to read the next two! Thank you Rebel Miller and also, thank you to the person who recommended this on the blogosphere last year, I can’t remember who shared this recommendation but I am so glad that you did!! Thank you!
Have you read this book?
What book/s have you read and loved recently?’
yes this review was copied straight from my Instagram hehe 🙂
side ramble – what actually counts as a trigger warning by the way, and spoilers? Like how does one do a review without it containing potential spoilers? and- technically, doesn’t life just have one big trigger warning? Like – most tv series, or books, even the most light hearted, still has some kind of upset – I think for me, I just want to make sure everyone is safe and comfortable, so I would rather put a trigger warning if I think it’s necessary, even if I am deep-ing it a bit. Sometimes my head gets a bit much because I want to do what’s right for everyone, but at the same time, if I think a book is good, I want to share it. I hope this comes across okay <3.
The Valkyries – Paulo Coelho. A dear friend gave me this book this year and I truly believe I manifested this gift after listening to this meditation – ‘SEXY GODDESS QUEEN MEDITATION’ -*disclaimer – I can’t comment on my particular opinion on ‘manifesting a specific person’ (what this meditation technically is for), I say do what feels genuinely right for you and always with love, if somethings meant to be it will be and its all about vibration, frequency and love – but for me as I did this meditation I remember thinking ‘I just want to manifest a message from someone I haven’t spoken to in a while, someone I haven’t heard from in a long time’, and then this gorgeous friend of mine reached out to me and gifted me a few beautiful books. How magicc! Anyway, this book, again I’m going to throw in a trigger warning because it does contain ‘darker’ themed scenes & AGAIN trigger warning – violence – it’s really really good. I remember after reading this, I realised where I had been sabotaging myself. It’s just one of those books that I recommend everybody reads. I hope to read it again someday. Paulo Coelho is a great author (I say having read just 2 books of his and beginning but not finishing – yet – another), and you can read my blog post about his book ‘The Alchemist’ here.
